Iconscout Icon Editor Reviews
"Wonderful and Powerful Tool to make vectors come to life"
Overall: My experience has been good so far. I use this platform for many purposes other than just creating vectors or icons. And I find it very user-friendly, and powerful enough to be creative at designing social media posts, videos, or websites, which is what our company does.
Pros: You can search or drag-and-drop elements onto the canvas, add multiple SVGs, delete and move objects, and customize designs with a colour palette. You can choose from existing colour palettes or create your own custom ones, and apply them to your assets in a few clicks. It is possible to download your edited assets in various file formats, such as SVG, PNG, PDF, and Lottie1.Very easy to access the editor from the web or from your favorite design tools, such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Illustrator, GSuite, and MS Office2.
Cons: It is obviously more limited than Adobe After Effects, Illustrator or even Corel Draw in what regards with designing tools. Notwithstanding, its integration with After-effects works great for making Lottie-Files.
"My honest review of Iconscout"
Overall: One of the best Design Resource Marketplaces I've encountered as a creative designer, I can't recommend it enough.
Pros: There is nothing I like more than the versatility of assets in Iconscout, especially the ease with which icons can be edited quickly and the ability to change the color, shape, and format of any icon.
Cons: In the future, I would like to see IconScout expand even further into many other areas like sound effects and video effects so that it can become a one-stop shop for any creative in any field, no matter what it may be.
"Absolutely Useless subscription"
Overall: horrifying customer support experience, extremely cold and rude
Pros: UNLIMITED DOWNLOADS - But its not unlimited downloads, and they are misleading. They have more than 4 mil assets and after buying yearly subscription for $180 - I have limit of 1000 downloads per month and they are adding 6000 assets every day, what's the point of all those assets when we can't even download more? They have not mentioned anywhere about these FUP limits on the pricing page, except on their terms page in small letters. They should have mentioned this on the pricing page then I would have never purchased this subscription. I guess I don't have an option but to be their customer and download only 1000 assets per month and crib about them. They are absolutely cold and rude in denying my refund request too. I do not recommend this to anyone.
Cons: They are misleading and its not unlimited downloads its just 1000 per month.
"My iconscout experience"
Overall: Overall lt's a great icon finder/editor, first place I go to when I need a quick design resource for my business without the hustle of the other tools out there.
Pros: efficient search and customization features, and its user-friendly interface. The platform's regular updates, integration with design tools, licensing options, and community support.
Cons: I would say that the pricing and download limitations are a draw back, especially for individuals.
"It's Pretty Decent and It's Free!"
Overall: I work for a large nonprofit, so finding easy to use free tools is always a good thing because it can be difficult to get more expensive ones approved.
Pros: The undo functionality is really nice, and the color options are simple and quick to use. Also, it's free, and it responds quickly (i.e. it feels more like you're using a desktop application than a web application).
Cons: It's free, so it's hard to complain too much; however, I wish there were a few more functions. One that'd be great is to edit the whole background or fill of the icon or space, which I don't see a way to do that (i.e. if it's currently a transparent background, make it white). Also saving it out as an .ico file would be nice.
