I really like how the windows on the program are displayed. Pros I really like how simple it is to use this platform. The coding for this software is easy to learn and the hardware to implement is also fun to do. Cons I don’t like that sometimes I get an error in the program saying that the Arduino is not connected. I had many errors regarding the libraries, as it was very difficult to find the right one, or if it was not, to learn how the solution you find works. However, it is a very useful program for programming your Arduino, with which you can perform small control actions, it is incredible the number of programs that can be done and bring to the real world. Always taking into account the connections, so I also use it together with Proteus, to see how the program would work and also how it would be connected. Pros Its programming language is one of the easiest that exist, although it is written. So, it is not very complicated to make small programs. When compiling, it shows you programming errors in a direct way, which facilitates their correction. Being an arduino proprietary program, it contains all kinds of these mitrocontrollers. Cons The software, although it looks simply, consumes a lot of computer memory. Despite having a section to download libraries, many are hard to find, and if found, they work differently than expected. I have tried using VSC or sublime to code it, but at the end of the day, The IDE is the best since it was designed only to code Arduino in a friendly way. My experience with it is so good, specially with the new version of the IDE (2.0 and above), with its new features. Pros The IDE is easy to use, it has great features as colourful text and text predicting to make work easy. The 2.0 version of the IDE (The new one) has a really friendly and smart interface compared to the basic old version. It doesn't have many features, because it is just made to work with Arduino, but it meets all the requirements. Cons The IDE itself, doesn't have any cons in my opinion. The only point I'd like to make is that sometimes I struggle with the connection between the Arduino board, the computer, and the drivers. Sometimes you'll need to update or download a driver, or to set properly the ports of the computes, but once it is solved, it works wonderful.
