These guys are just geniuses in how they have managed to make my SCCM and Intune life so much easier. Pros How easily does it integrate with SCCM and Intune? You can deploy an app with ease. Very simple when you get the hang of it. The integration with Intune is even greater. The ability to import custom apps with just a few clicks. From day one I have just loved how Patch My PC has made our lives so much easier and that you can rely on it 100%. Absolutely love this product. If you're seeking the services that Patch My PC offers, they're dollar for dollar the most practical investment a company could make. Everything else the provide is just icing on the cake. Pros Patch My PC is excellent at doing what it's advertised to do - Patching your pc. It offers a fairly robust catalogue of applications, the team is very responsive and knowledgeable, and the customer service is absolutely second to none. Their documentation is top-tier, and the effort they put into their product stands out above other vendors. Cons Extended features of secondary products, while perfectly functional in most features, in a sense leave some things to be desired and lack depth in customization that a majority of users won't even know they're missing. Any issue I have with PMPC isn't about what they're already doing - it's about what they could do in addition to the excellent services they already provide, and I feel that is a great problem for PMPC to have. If Patch My PC were able to provide a feature similar to EPM - or a feature similar where we could allow end users administrative rights on demand, similar to admin by request, we may never leave PMPC. From the sales team being generally helpful and wonderful to work with, to the implementation team that was available in case we needed any assistance. Pros How simple it is to get setup and going. We needed a quick solution using on premise infrastructure we already had. The integration with SCCM was beautiful and simple to setup. Allowing us to quickly deploy and maintain a simple, easy patching solution. Cons The reporting side of things requires an additional setup, and is not natively built into the install. The functionality to add updates and quickly take all apps your deploy and cover them for rolling updates is great. Cons Some apps arent covered and are unable to be added due to odd rules like having more that 5 digits in parts of their version numbers. From the initial demo that we had, to the questions we've asked to the support everything has been perfect. Pros It makes application packaging that can be complicated really simple. We have had the tool for a couple of months and already its beginning to save to us time. Its really great knowing that applications are continually updated. From the initial demo to the support has been 1st class. Cons PMPC Cloud is lacking in features compared to the initial publisher. Some of the choices and explanation around update rings have been confusing. The user interface is intuitive, which makes managing software updates incredibly easy. In addition, the ability to update multiple applications with a single click is a considerable time saver. I also appreciate the regularity of the updates offered, which guarantees that my software is always up to date and secure. I check on it every couple of months and make any changes i need to make. I do keep an eye on its patches - but overall its given me back a lot of time to do less robotic tasks. Pros High level of customization with simple integration into existing environment. The PMPC team is constantly adding apps and seems very responsive to requests on the customer support portal.It gives me back a lot of time i used to spend uploading new versions of apps. Of course my per device vulnerability rating has gone down in my EDR solution - so that makes management and security happy! Cons My only request would be the ability to add my own apps - Maybe it watches a folder for an application where it ingests the latest version and applies my deployment configuration. If PMPC did this it would be perfect. I'd be able to get all of my apps into one location, and even provide the ability to have in-house app developers the ability to keep their apps up to date across the org. We have more than a dozen in-house apps used by Customer service and support teams that i'd love to build into my patch management cycle. February 14, 2025 5.0 The installation and initial setup is very easy! Connecting to Intune is very simple, though connecting to SCCM takes a little more work. Once those steps are done though, it's very easy to get started patching new products! Pros Love the automation of non-MS software installs and updates. This has saved us countless hours and drastically reduced vulnerabilities. Cons The UI is a little clunky, sometimes almost too simple. But it's easy to learn and get used to. Cons The on-prem interface feels a little old, but they are about to replace this with a cloud-based modern solution. The product also delivers on its promise, we have improved our 3rd party patching exponentially with very minimal increase in effort once packages are setup, and Patch My PC has become our first option for packaging any new software we are deploying even where patching is less of a concern. Pros Deploying Patch My PC was one of the best experiences my team has had with such an impactful tool. The best part of the experience was how quickly we were able to implement the tool and even more so how quickly we realized benefits form it. Within a week we had packages tested and in the beginning stages of corporate rollout for 10 commonly deployed applications, and within a month we were actively patching 40+ applications in our environment with immediate benefits reflecting in vulnerability assessment scores. With PMP automatic deployment rules we now never are late with security updates or new versions. So our devices are more secure! Pros It saved a lot of time regarding application patching an deployment, easy to setup with the help of patch my pc engineers. Not only for MEM but also for intune! Great fast response when submitting a question to the support of PMP. Cons I think it would be nice to be able to select a distribution group per application instead of all applications only. It sometimes takes a long time before you hear a status update of a suggested idea or application request. If you only use intune you still nee a server for the publisher application. Would be great to also support macos applications with PMP nd intune. Reason for choosing Patch My PC the less complex setup, price and better support.
