### "Patch My PC: A Must-Have for Intune App Deployment"

Patch My PC is the best solution we’ve found for third-party app management in Intune. It keeps our deployments clean, our apps updated, and our workload lighter. Without it, we’d be spending way too much time packaging and testing updates manually. If you’re managing apps in Intune, this tool is a no-brainer.

Pros

Patch My PC eliminates the manual work of packaging and updating third-party apps in Intune. We don’t waste time chasing updates, fixing outdated installers, or dealing with app version inconsistencies. The automation just works—new versions sync, old ones retire, and deployments stay clean. Custom scripts let us fine-tune installs, and detailed logging means no guessing when something goes wrong. It saves time, keeps apps current, and removes a huge management headache.

Cons

The catalog is solid, but there are still some apps we have to package manually (this is not really a knock-on Patch My PC, but one can dream). Also, while customization is powerful, some settings require workarounds instead of being configurable directly in the UI.

### "Simple and complete third party app patching tool"

We've been using PatchMyPC for nearly 3 years now and it has been so much easier since then. Previously we used one of their rivals software but it wasn't as complete, easy and automated than PatchMyPC

Pros

Its simplicity, wide range of options and continuous developpement with all users suggestions. Also the knowledge base is huge and the support team answers quickly.

Cons

Not all our apps are supported but new apps are added everyday. Some apps require to be manually downloaded and added to a local repository.

Pros

Integration with Intune is easy to set up and is seamless. Pricing is very competitive even with the minimum order for a company our size.

Cons

No cons so far with the product, any issues have been quickly resolved. Support department are quick to respond.

It's ease of use with the client software. The catalogs lists all the products in a good way.

Cons

Some companies and their products are not listed. Is it possible to suggests software makers that are not listed and considered popular? Also would love to see driver pack section for deployments from popular manufacturers (Lenovo, HP, Dell, etc.)

Pros

Easy and fast deployment of several apps without admin privileges. It helps a lot on my organization for ISO27001 requirements.

Cons

Can't deploy an app for a user in specific, I need to create a group and assign it to the group. I hope you can add it in the future.

### "Affordable, well supported tool to solve 3rd party patching gaps"

Affordable, easy to use tool requiring little overhead once apps are being packaged and published. Solves a big gap that tools like Intune posses.

Pros

Fills a big gap left by Intune in terms of 3rd party patching. The integration allows us to quickly identify what we can patch, and then a few buttons clicks later we can publish the package to Intune, and can be an automated process with uploading updates. It saves a lot of manual time. Pricing and support is a big positive too.

Cons

The on-prem solution wasn't the easiest on the eye from a GUI perspective at first, but the new cloud option is much more initiative

Superb! The onboarding is fantastic, and once up and running you feel like you're part of a knowledgeable community. It has helped streamline our deployment processes, helped save us time and also given us greater compliance for schemes like Cyber Essentials.

Pros

A large list of software that is expanding rapidly, and also the ease of setup and deployment. We can push software rapidly now via Intune, knowing it's been packaged well and will update itself without intervention.

Cons

The on-prem interface feels a little old, but they are about to replace this with a cloud-based modern solution.

Overall experience has been great. The one time I had to reach out for help, had a response same day and it was resolved.

Pros

I like all of the pre package apps and ease of use when creating standard apps. Has been pretty straight forward so far, have moved to creating most of our supported apps in PMPC when possible.

Cons

Have had some issues getting some of our custom apps to work. Does not support appx files for offline installs of MS apps.

Pros

The rustic GUI which may scare younger generation but for the "dinosaurs" it just works fine. I like that once set, it is just "working" and I don't have to constantly monitor the work/tasks/jobs.

Cons

IMHO: It would be better to have different ways to sort the software, for example, not by vendor but by software name. I am aware of search functionality but sometimes you only know some parts of the name but with no idea who released the app, it is hard to find. also - a website where you would provide release notes would be great as we would know what new was added (or what is missing/still working on)

The experience has been great and support is very helpful if needed.

Pros

Ease of setup and ability to patch only existing installations with update mode. Also the ability to show users a popup message when updating running apps is a very good addition.

Cons

Old school publisher tool isn't very modern, but it gets the job done. Pricing wise PMPC is probably one of the most expensive solution for 3rd party app patching solutions, but the features justify it.

Really good. We did have some teething issues that went on for some time which were frustrating to say the least, however, these have now been resolved with the team developing the app and releasing into new updates.

Pros

The amount of time it saves me on a weekly basis is incredible. Also, the support is top notch and they put the time in to look into the problem and to resolve.

Cons

Only having one instance of PMPC running at any one time can get a little frustrating and you have to wait your turn if you require to do some work on it and someone else has it open on the same server.

It's been very good they have a great customer service and they are helpful. Once it's setup it easy to use and saves me a ton of a time it's a great product

Pros

It saves me a ton of time and I'm allow to focus on other parts of my job. It has the latest updates and I'm able to push them out with ease

Cons

It's not cheap and it's takes a long time for new software to be added. I have put in over 10 request and in 4 years they have done 3 of them. They are all doable but they need to work better on request with votes

The installation and initial setup is very easy! Connecting to Intune is very simple, though connecting to SCCM takes a little more work. Once those steps are done though, it's very easy to get started patching new products!

Pros

Love the automation of non-MS software installs and updates. This has saved us countless hours and drastically reduced vulnerabilities.

Cons

The UI is a little clunky, sometimes almost too simple. But it's easy to learn and get used to. Definitely not something that I consider a big issue.

Overall I am very glad we started using PMPC and the experience has been great.

Pros

The deployment experience has been great, and the fact that you can force updates on machines just if an app is installed, without even having to push it out or make it available is super useful. Support has also been very responsive; usually within an hour in my experience.

Cons

We are using the SaaS option and the thing I am missing most is having device visibility inside of the PMPC portal around whether or not a device has actually had a specific software updated and to what version. I can use Intune to get that information though.

Fantastic. It was so quick and easy to setup managing our software deployments and updates. After the initial setup which took no more than 30min, we rarely have to check the software unless we're updating software that PMPC can't do automatically (e.g. Teamviewer)

Pros

Clean simple UI. Ease of use, everything is very straightforward. Speed of syncing with Intune Amazing Support Team

Cons

UI whilst clean, is very outdated, but the simplicity is still nice. It isn't always obvious what each bit within the software does.

This is the second org I have set PMPC up at. It really made a huge impact in compliance of important security patching and updates.

Cons

No complaints at all. It's easy, cheap, fully automated patching!

### "Patchmypc for making the life of administrators easier"

The support is really friendly and productiv. The Software is good to use and easy to understand. The time you win from using patchmypc is much more worth it than it cost. Overall its a really good software and I like to use it and dont want to miss it in my work enviroment.

Pros

The Software is easy to use and makes my life as a administrator much easier. It was fast installed and is easy to debugg if something is not working. Also if something goes wrong, the support is really good.

Cons

Some menus are hidden and not intuitve like the "overwrite dependencies on update" but i found it also after a time.

### "Huge Time saver"

Very easy to use, with the newly introduced SaaS solution it can even be used without any onprem Servers. PatchMyPC makes it posible that we, approve more requested software, because we don't have any extra work with packaging and providing it.

Pros

The software saves very match Time, we can use for other topics then packaging software and updates.

Cons

Sadly some more complicated Packages like Autocad are not available.

PatchMyPC was cheaper and hat more software packages in there catalog, while also being an enterpreise solution.

Patch My PC delivers on its promise of simplifying third-party patch management in a corporate environment, offering an intuitive, streamlined approach that saves time. We use it as the primary tool to drive down patch vulnerabilities to an acceptable number. This has saved many hours each month manually reviewing and manually forcing patches.

Pros

Ease of use, once set up, it's automated 24/7. Great responsive support. It supports a comprehensive range of software and it continues to add more. This platform is cost-effective and reduces the ever-growing security vulnerabilities found on a daily basis. This is used with InTune. Now we can get on with the other stuff!

Cons

There is nothing that sticks out as we are mainly a Windows environment, and this fills that gap well.
