Pros The Support and pure function of the product is very good and stable. Saves so much time and work! October 18, 2024 4.0 Easy to setup, easy to maintain, custom apps can be deployed to fit our needs and really making us as an IT Department more efficient. Pros It is very easy to make applications available through Intune/Company Portal and keep them up to date. The biggest benefit is that it costs us less time to manage. Besides, removing the "boring" work it also improved our application deployment. Cons The application will only push. So, whenever you change a setting or adjust the scope via the Patch My PC Publisher it will not update in Intune. These adjustments we have to do manually. Cons The PatchMyPC Custom Apps catalog feature is still fairly bare-bones and I have often run into issues with custom applications not having uninstallation options or the necessary level of customization to make their deployments successful. Once you spend a bit of time during the initial setup to meet your needs, it will basically run itself without you having to manage it. My experience with their support was also very satisfying, where they engaged and followed up thoroughly, providing logs and explanations, which I quite like. Entertainment Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Octavio Review" June 26, 2024 5.0 I like it a lot for its easiness and looks, it is very easy to use and the interface is user-friendly and looks modern compared to how it feels to manage apps through SCCM Pros The easiness to add apps to the catalog and how intuitive is in every aspect make it very simple even without prior experience or doing it for the first time. Cons The method to identify if an app is installed or not by checking the uninstall registry does not work for all the programs and while it can be modified, I think there are methods to address this automatically just using a different approach. Also, the file for the icon wasn't accepted in my experience but the error misdirected me pointing to the installing file. We accomplished our goals in very little time, and it continues to be one of the best applications we have in our endpoint management. Patch My PC support has always been excellent, and we are treated as though we are important. I can't recommend them enough for any enterprise looking to move to Intune and have third party application patching taken care of. Pros Initial setup was made much easier with excellent onboarding meeting provided by a PMP engineer. He walked us through everything and answered all of our questions. Any additional questions we had were answered promptly and completely. After that, ongoing work with PMP has been a breeze, and it's been mostly hands off. Applications just get updated automatically, and we achieved our goal - to implement third party app patching without requiring much ongoing attention to the system. Cons Some features are a bit vague and require referring to the documentation at times. They offer competitive pricing and will work with you to set it up if you need it! Pros I really love the dynamic rules for patching; if there is a zero-day patch, my rules to implement that patch are forceful, and Patch My PC pushes and enforces that patch immediately. If it is a smaller update, the rules will be less forceful. I never have to check that it does its job because I have seen it perform reliably every time! It's far more valuable than hindersome. Pros The automation of the system being able to scan systems for installed apps, and then auto download those updated versions and automatically upload to Intune, without a single need for human input, is a game changer for us. What would normally take an employee to be responsible for managing this process, PMPC is the AI that does it all. Cons I do wish the limitation of not being able to download ALL software vendors updates automatically weren't there. I understand why the limitation is there for some vendors, due to license agreements, but if there were someway to overcome this limitation, it would truely be a closed loop system without the need for any human interaction. It grants me the ability to respond positively more often when different teams request specific software installations on their computers. For instance, I can now allow our developers to have Notepad++ installed via the Intune company portal, while ensuring that the software receives the latest updates automatically. This has made my life easier in several ways:My team is relieved from the burden of managing or creating application packages.I have peace of mind knowing that PMPC will consistently release the most recent updates from their repository.I am no longer perceived as someone who simply rejects requests without consideration.For anyone who values efficient application management and utilizes inTune, seriously considering PMPC would be highly beneficial. By utilizing the inTune model, it becomes an obvious choice for deploying updates to a large number of users and their applications. These three applications alone encompass 80% of our essential business applications, and they are prime targets for malicious actors. The prospect of PMPC updating these applications through our MDM is incredibly attractive.In addition I really like the open roadmap they share. Cons We have encountered disruptions caused by PMPC, particularly with certain Adobe updates that caused problems for a portion of our users, including our CFO. No more time consuming custom packaging necessary. Pros Patch My PC makes it almost too easy to patch my 3rd party software. Onboard a customers tenant, scan for applications, select the applications and assign them. After that it's sitting back and watch Patch My PC do the rest. Cons Patch My PC runs on a dedicated Windows machine, it would be better if it becomes a full SAAS application.
