### "Very high value for the money"

We have significantly reduced our vulnerability count. Our application packagers don't need to worry about packaging updates to the vast majority of our 3rd party applications each month.

Pros

Initial integration was very easy. PatchMyPC has high quality setup instructions and very detailed writeups for all of the features for their product. They even have great documentation and videos on how to use SCCM itself. The PMPC team clearly understands the product they are supporting.

Cons

I honestly can't think of anything that needs improvement with their product.

Reason for choosing Patch My PC

I had used PMPC at a previous job. Also if you read any forums that discuss which 3rd party vendor to go with, PMPC is always the clear winner. It also helps that the former Director of SCCM at Microsoft left his job to work at PMPC :)

### "Patch My PC and how it saves time"

This is the second organization where I've used Patch My PC with our ConfigMgr environment. It's a tremendous time saver; the work that would be required in maintaining updates and application versions without them is probably nearly a full-time job.

Pros

The publishing service tied to our ConfigMgr/MECM environment has saved a \*lot\* of work on both update management and new application deployment. Being able to simply select an application in the configuration instead of having to roll our own packages saves a lot of time.

Cons

I do wish that it was possible to configure/manage the publishing service remotely; currently it's necessary to run the console UI from the server where it's installed.

### "Reliable Patch Management"

From onboarding to after sales and support when working with the PatchMyPC team they have been with us helping during the integration and supporting us the 2 times we encountered issues and both times our issues were resolved without delay.

Pros

One of the biggest concerns an administrator has is not implementing a solution but maintaining it. PatchMyPC is the perfect answer to resolve this issue, we have set this up 1 year and a half ago and never looked back all the apps we deployed are automatically updated and maintained with the latest versions.We only access the system to add new apps for deployment.

Cons

The worst part about the software is the interface which feels like a Windows Server 2003 experience. Does not yet support patch management for MacOS, which should be resolved with the new product.

I found loads of reviews online pointing that although the interface is a bit primitive and a local server is required to run the software there was nothing more reliable then PatchMyPC therefore we decided to give it a try, when automating tasks and services the most important part is always reliability and the reviews were correct.

N\\A, I really can't say anything bad about PatchMyPC, especially on 3rd party apps.

### "A product to solve all your patching needs! "

Excellent, the product is amazing, the support team are super responsive, the integration into Intune makes the whole solution easy. It just works as you want and with minimal fuss.

Pros

Fully automated solution, Select the applications you want to monitor set a schedule and the product does the rest, It has a simple interface which is easy to administer which honestly makes this product selection a no brainer.

Cons

Really hard to find any faults with Patch My PC, the product does exactly what you need. at a stretch there is some scenarios were its a little difficult to have different rules for different users i.e IT admins. But this is a pretty specific scenario.

Pros

InTune integration is excellent and saves so much time over deploying apps directly through InTune and on top of that the auto update of already installed products makes patching and keeping on top of CVEs straight forward. The addition of custom apps is a real asset to the Patch My PC publisher. WSUS integration has made 3rd party patching of servers easier and reportable. Customer support and the online guides / troubleshooting guides is excellent.

Cons

We don't have access to config manager log viewer so checking the Patch My PC log could be improved but it is a minor inconvenience.

Excellent experience. Seriously, this is one of the best products and companies in the business to deal with. Never had a single issue with them. Just an all around great experience.

Pros

Patch My PC is great. If your a Microsoft ConfigMgr or Intune administrator, this product will make your life easier. It helps you automate third-party application updates and application packaging and deployment. Security teams will love it too. This product easily pays for itself and then some.

Cons

No cons to report. This is an amazing product with a great support team as well.

Excellent, it just works. I basically do no maintenance on the applications besides adding additional apps. A large part of our app selection process includes "does PatchMyPC support it?"

Pros

PatchMyPC has saved my administrators countless hours of searching and downloading the latest updates for 3rd party applications. Now it's all handled automatically behind the scenes. When vulnerabilities come out, we're usually already ahead of the game by the same time find out.

Cons

Sometimes I want to stick with a particular version and PatchMyPC tends to freak out, especially with local repo downloads.

Patch My PC offers wide variety of 3rd party integrations which is very difficult to create, manage and configure using Intune. Addition of custom apps feature in Patch My PC would further help switch our app management completely to Intune from SCCM.

Reporting and Alerting are some of the features that are not great on Patch My PC. Hope they will work towards improving these features

The dollars-to-time-saved value here is astronomical. A few thousand in licensing per year prevents hundreds, probably thousands of staff hours per year in patching, pushing. configuring, and troubleshooting software updates. Why spend hours every month figure out how to push out this month's seven new chrome versions, and an update for adobe, and that new app the new C-level just had to have? Pay patch-my-PC instead and let them deal with the details of common software updates while you do something more interesting.

Pros

Huge time savings. Reasonable cost. Large catalog of supported apps. Excellent documentation and resources. Software is reliable and requires very little maintenance.

Cons

I guess you do lose some degree of control by outsourcing app updates, but that is certainly a pro for me

Sales and support have been excellent to deal with, honest, straightforward and the online documentation is fantastic!

Pros

1\. Easy to deploy updates from a centralized location using the Windows Update Service already in our organization.2. The number of applications it supports is unmatched in the market3. Best price for this type of patching in the market

Cons

Reporting on it is limited, this is an area where we'd like to see growth to give compliance reports. X number of machines need this patch, X number have it installed already, X number pending kind of display would be great!

### "A lifesaver for patching application CVE's in your environment"

We have been able to free up hundreds of hours from our engineering team to work on higher priority projects by not having to download and manually package the applications and their patches that PMPC is able to do for us. I don't know how we were able to get the same volume of work done before PMPC.

Pros

Ease of use is by far the best feature about PMPC. PMPC's ability to crawl your SCCM/Intune database and automatically select applications in need of patching, and deploy them to patch CVE's makes passing annual audits a breeze.

Cons

There are a small number of applications in our environment that PMPC is not able to download media for; in these cases you have to manually download the application file from the vendor, and copy it into the PMPC media folder for packaging and deployment. While I understand this is largely due in part to how vendors like Oracle require authentication to download Java, a workaround would be for PMPC to house their own repository on Git or similar for their customers to retrieve these patches from after someone at PMPC has already manually downloaded them.

Seamless, fantastic, its saved me hours to get on with other work.

Pros

A couple of years ago I asked my boss to fund Patch My PC through a recommendation. Since implementing, it has saved me hours of work. I don't have to package applications in the same way anymore. Its all done for me, It deploys automatically for me via the ADRs setup, it works, it does what is required. I love it.

Cons

Everything I require at the moment is in the product.

the automation of 3rd party patching which saves us manhours that we can spend on other things

Not all software is covered, I hope there will be a solution soon for this and that we can add our own software in it

Pros

This has been invaluable in creating an up to date and secured environment. Patching hundreds of third party software packages being a full time job that did not allow for further work to be handled. This has allowed for more directed projects to be completed by staff who were otherwise occupied with never ending patches.

Cons

With the Intune integration every patch creates a new package. Which can cause some confusion to new admins trying to find the active one.

As it nativelyt supports InTune I first deployed on a customer with a huge vulnerability that was caused by old files not being removed when third party apps are updated. Upon returning to my organisation I have implemented the product across our top tier customers with impressive results

Cons

As we are using it to complement InTune have not found any issues that cannot be resolved.
