From the initial support of setting up the product to continued maintenance, my experience has been excellent. Pros The feature I love is updating newly released software versions that my organization uses daily. Implementing Patch My PC in my company has freed my admins to focus on more important things than ensuring Chrome is patched. The cost savings have been tremendous, and I have already doubled my return on investment. Cons No cons. I had one negative experience in which a version number was mismatched with Edge or WebView 2 that, made Edge unusable, but we were able to remediate. Pros Using PatchMyPC to push updates into Intune is so easy to set up and manage, and it just keeps the whole fleet of machines patched. Cons It's very simple and light on for features - basically you deploy updates or you don't. However, this is all we wanted it for, so it's not a negative at all. Precious time that could be used for other important support and administrative tasks. Pros I like that "it just works". Our organization used a competing product in the past, but I frequently had to troubleshoot. Either the publishing service on the Distribution Point stopped worked, or the admin console wouldn't work, or syncing to SCCM would fail requiring troubleshooting.Too much time was spent trying to fix a problem...which is what ultimately led to my seeking out a new solution and finding Patch My PC. Actually, in the last several months of using the competing product, I was using PatchMyPC's guides and even the trial at one point, in order to resolve an issue we were having.The provided guides, videos, and the free trial is what led me to set up a formal demo, and ask our management to purchase PatchMyPC. Cons I do not have any complaints just yet. It did not take me long to configure things the way we needed. Perhaps if I deep dive more into all the available features of the Plus license, maybe I'll find a gripe. Nothing thus far though. We have since automated all patching and initial software deployment on PC builds. Pros The ease of integration between PMPC's custom publisher and SCCM is amazing. All buttons are easy to find, and it literally "Just Works" Cons We have been using PMPC since 2018, and there is nothing I dislike about the product. The PMPC team is great, support is fantastic, the software does exactly what it needs to, and they somehow come up with more useful features before I even realize I need them. Pros It is, for the most part, a hands off way to patch 90% of our third party apps. Unlike Intune, it offers a UI for staff that I otherwise would have had to spend time creating with PSADT. Cons I have an idea posted that I have not received any feedback for. We were hoping PatchMyPC would be able to cover AutoCAD updates for us, though it doesn't seem the tool offers the software we require yet. Pros If you're already using SCCM to manage devices and packages, PMPC is an absolute must. It takes the pain away from 3rd party software deployments and patching and really helps easily making sure you're on top of things. Cons Can be a bit tricky to setup initially but the support is fantastic, and the available documentation aplenty. Finding out how many machines need what different patches are offered is equally impressive and getting the machines patched is simple. Cons Unfortunately, I don't get to work with the talented support group of PatchMyPC. Seriously, they're talented, patient and very pleasant to work with. Was easy to integrate into Config Manager, and has a good third party patch catalog. Pros PMPC was easy to setup. We were able to switch over from IVANTI to Config Manager without missing a beat for third party patching. One month we were patching third party apps with Ivanti, the very next month, we patched via Config Man and PMPC. Cons We also purchased Advanced Insights for reporting. It is OK, but would like to be able to do a little bit more customization than what is currently possible. PatchMyPC was able to offer such a service with a simple console to keep the applications up to date as the vendor updates them.I also enjoy deploying new updates in a ring method to ensure it can be piloted before mass deployment. Cons Currently doesn't allow for bring your own applications.Some applications like Java and FortiClient VPN require manual download into a repository before deployment.
