Cons one thing that I don't like is that if you make changes to the parent/root it'll overwrite all child object settings under intune apps/updates so need to make sure everything is set up correctly at the parent level first. Pros Provides options for enabling of creation of apps on both on -prem SCCM and cloud - Intune. Cons As we are growing more and more , users opt in for MACbooks. If Patch my PC also has some integration into JAMF (similar to SCCM) where this would reduce work loads on manual package creation for 3rd party application updates to help better serve our MAC users. We don't have to spend time on manual labor, monitor updates, etc. All is done automatically, once a week, ensuring everyone is running the latest software. Cons We're trying not to use on-prem services, to be a cloud-first company. PatchMyPC is currently in our VM in the cloud, however, we would like to see the product as a SaaS solution in the cloud. Pros I love that I can set patches and applications once, and let the software take it from there. I don't have to think too hard or worry about checking things daily or weekly. A few spot checks here and there are the only management this software needs after implementation. Cons I think it would be nice to have the ability to get even more of our more specific engineering tools in the application list for both creation of packages and management of patches. Pros We use PMPC for the 3rd party patching that it does. This product patches a lot of vendors software saving me time on re-packaging a new version up for deployment. I can easily work with the support team with any questions I have regarding deployment of a patch or an application. In fact your support team gets back to me on any e-mail question I send your way in a very expeditious timely manner. Cons That not all of my 3rd party vendors are supported by PMPC (yet). Also, try to explore right click tools for proper management. Pros I am impressed with the additional application customisations we can perform using the right click tools options from PMPC console. Support team was always helpful for major issues, and I see lot of new application requests were addressed last year and we are happily using them for application management and keeping our end-points secure and up to date.
