The ScormHero developers/engineers are constantly improving the system and always adding features that customers like myself might recommend to them. If a company is taking the leap into eLearning and managing an LMS, I highly recommend you start with ScormHero to start authoring your courses. This is a great team and a great product! Pros The straightforward and simple approach to creating SCORM packages for an LMS. It is super user friendly and has a decent amount of customization options for the monthly subscription fee they charge. I think the number one thing that has made me truly appreciate ScormHero is their customer support and responsiveness. Cons The only issue I have faced while creating courses on ScormHero was PowerPoint conversion caused some scaling issues with words and fonts. I believe those issues have been addressed, but companies nowadays should be moving away from PPT trainings and into more video based anyways. I was able to seamlessly upload PowerPoint files, overlay each slide with .WAV or .mp4 audio files, incorporate screen recording clips, and utilize the interactive assessment tool throughout the course. The 1.2 SCORM downloadable format was also excellent; we were able to upload it to our clients' learning management system and integrate it without any issues. Additionally, the Scorm Hero user interface is clean, simple, and easy to use. Cons I wouldn't classify these as 'cons' necessarily, but potentially some ideas for future product enhancement. 1) Certain features from the PowerPoint slides did not translate when uploaded into Scorm Hero - such as certain image effects (example - shadow effects on images) or any animation effects. 2) Having the option to view the total length of the course (that includes the total combined audio clips time) would be helpful. Cons There are a couple fields that would be nice to tab back and forth between, but that is a minor beef.
