March 7, 2024 5.0 I set up Robot Alp for every new website I build and maintain. The set up takes minutes to do and it just runs, reliably in the background and let's me know if there is anything wrong with the website. Couldn't ask for anything more really. Pros Very easy to set up. Very clean user interface. Plenty of options. Supports multiple websites very well. Very friendly support team and it works very well. Cons I don't think there is anything I don't like about this software. Pros It covers all scenarios for monitoring. I can separate my sites from my client sites. The monitor wizard is very handy for adding multiple sites, or even just one, and get the most common monitors in place quickly. Cons Lacks template branding for status pages. I asked them about this some time ago, and they seemed interested, but nothing has happened with it. I would have to design every client status page from scratch, so I just don't do it because it is too time-consuming. I'd certainly recommend this to anybody needing a robust site services tracking system. Pros The API is very handy and robust. Also the team is quite helpful with an issues that may come up. The interface looks nice and is simple to use. Highly recommended Pros Robot.alp has the largest number of monitoring options of all the cloud monitoring tools I have seen, and is great when ping response is not enough to determine availability. The interface is clean and modern, and is fast to navigate around. Cons It can take a while to get the monitoring settings right to avoid false positives, but once tweaked has been very reliable. Cons The UX needs some work in some places like when you pause/resume a monitor. Since I have Robot.alp I don't have to worry anymore. The status page is a great and is dynamic. Now my visitors or customers could easily know if all my services are up or down. Pros The process to set up a website is easy, fast and effective. The alerts and notifications work like a charm. The status page is top and fully customizable. They have custom domains. Cons This product is really an awesome product. I don't have any problem with it. The support is fast responding, and they have a discord community. They seem to work fine (alerts are coming in) and setting them up really got better over the years. Having those alerts right in Slack is a wonderful feature that saves us time. Email Alerts are also coming in. Thats all we need in our company and this is working fine now since years. We are really happy with this tool. Cons I think we didnt deep dive enough to find the problems that heavy users may have. We just set up a new set of alerts for every client and this works fine. E.g. their wizard lets you setup several monitors at once to speed up the process Cons I had some issues with false alarms once and the response via discord was quite slow. But they did figure out the issue with a little delay and despite that issue everything works flawlessly since I started using it.
