Positive, but the tool has a steep learning curve. Tons of features that you may not understand how to utilize.

Pros

We had a complicated phone system and the inclusion of ring central helped streamline it. Tons of features.

Cons

This is not a tool for just anyone to pick up and implement if they're organization is more than a few people. It was a bit overwhelming, despite being incredibly helpful. It's probably easier to use now.

We've been using RingCentral for a few years now, and it couldn't be easier for sending and receiving electronic faxes. It's nice to have the option of having the pdf attached in an email as well.

Cons

I have no criticisms of this software solution.

Simple, life made easier.

Pros

Easy to navigate and easy to use. What I like the most is that your profile can be personalized with your picture and also with a ringtone of your choice. Options are scarce in a good way, not overwhelming at all. It's perfect for my team since we're only 5 individuals.

Cons

As for all the softwares I review, I wish it had a dark theme as sometimes I get headaches.

Pros

It is an easy to use and set up phone system. We had multiple staff in multiple locations and RingCentral made it easy to do this.

Cons

The softphone feature isn't the best. Also, at the time we used it there wasn't a good Softphone for Mac OSX

Pros

I can fax from my desktop! It's so cool that I can get my faxes in my email rather than having to use a separate machine to clutter my office. I also have my own fax number rather than having to share a fax with the many other people in my office. It comes right to me so I know when I give out my number I won't lose a fax because someone picked it up by mistake.

Pros

RingCentral is easy to use and there are many features I like about the product ; You are able to text, fax, conference calls and more.

Cons

There has been multiple instances of my RingCentral going out at work, a few times when the recipient of the call could not hear me on the other end and times when my faxed would fail. All had been adjusted and fixed, but this was a roadblock at times.

Easy to use faxing service and notification system.

Pros

Our office utilizes RingCentral for all of our faxing needs. The program is very easy to navigate and is very reliable. We love the almost instant notification when a fax fails so we can remedy the issue immediately with our clients.

Cons

The program does take a little longer to load at the initial start up but other than that, the program works great.

I love that everything is integrated in one system. You can call, text, and fax all in one place. You can also download the app for your desktop and have access directly on your computer and access it on your phone if needed.

Cons

As with any telephone software, connectivity can be an issue. It's frustrating when the notifications are late or things aren't showing up on the desktop app.

Pros

Once it is set up it works great. There are many functions. Call forwarding works great and can be set up to do it automatically. The electronic fax system is very useful.

Cons

Tried to set up and change settings, such as call forwarding, it is very difficult to do. Also looking through the faxes could have a better interface and make it easier to find what is needed.

Overall, if you are looking for a way to take your office phone into the field, this can actually be a nice solution. If you are to become a customer, submit your feedback to them so that they can improve. My company recently stopped using RingCentral, but you may enjoy it.

Pros

RingCentral is a helpful software for directing to the proper people. You can set up customized directories and even have your own voice in the directory.

Cons

The whole software is rather hard to manage in more flexible companies. If you are seeking to use the texting feature, the room for improvement becomes very obvious. The software may be extremely helpful in organizations that have static communications, but if things ever need to change, it is a very difficult process and the customer service is of little help in this situation.

Pros

I love that voice mails come right to my email and boy- they are FAST! As soon as a voicemail is done recording it goes right to your inbox which is great - helps me get to our customers quicker!

Cons

Sometimes I'll get voicemails sent to my email and I know for a fact the caller did not dial my extension (I won't have any missed calls) HOWEVER, I don't know if this is a Ring Central thing or if the set-up of our account was done incorrectly. This happens to other users of Ring Central at the office as well.

Overall the implementation took time, much more time than expected, but the capabilities and integrations of RingCentral are superb. Their customer support is second to none (on a remote basis).

Pros

We really enjoy being able to text clients & the integrations available (Zapier allows us to text with RingCentral in an automated way).

Cons

Wish there were the ability to program autoresponses based on texts received (smart keywords like FixYourFunnel is able to do). I dislike that you can't reassign an SMS text thread to another user (like FixYourFunnel can do).

I get the benefit of being connected no matter where I travel (so long as there is an internet connection) as well as an easy to use platform that required no training for anyone with phone experience.

Pros

I enjoy the ease of having a contact number that is not tethered to a physical location, as well as the intuitive controls.

Cons

As this is also the phone platform for the entire company, it's used for many (if not most) of our conference calls - I hear the acoustic guitar hold music multiple times daily and it kind of drives me mad that there's no variety.

It works most of the time, which is great and expected.

Cons

The phone would not ring all day, so I would check and come to find out that my phone number was deleted by Ring Central without my knowledge nor consent. They allowed fraudulent activity on my account and didn't even apologize. Account representatives simply do not respond to correspondence and their contracts team attempts to make changes to your plan without your knowledge nor consent. They will also sign you up for another 12 month contract without your consent. They simply ignore issues in hopes they will just go away.

Honestly I don't see much use for an app like this. If you're in sales like I am, people should have your private number so they can get a hold of you.

Pros

It was nice that when my company number was called, it would rout to my personal phone to answer. It made it very helpful to keep on top of calls when out of the office.

Cons

I had a lot of glitches with my use of this software. There were a lot of times where I wouldn't be able to answer calls. I would answer and it would say press one to connect. I would press one, and nothing would happen.

When our company made the change to a remote work environment in March 2020, this tool made it effortless for our team to communicate daily, and keep attending our meetings as usual. It reduced the amount of emails sent every day. It helped us stay human with the Gif, emojis so we can express feelings like in person.

Nothing comes to mind. Like any new platform, the IT team trained us all and provided resources from Ring Central. Once the integrations were done with Outlook, the meeting app was very smooth.

The system is super easy to manage, You can create unlimited extensions, manage your automatic messages, send/receive faxes, send/receive voice messages and sms, and much more!

Cons

In order to be able to send sms from every extension or receive direct calls, you need to have a dedicated phone number and the price for each number tend to be pretty high.

When it is working well things are great. When you need help get ready to spend hours on the phone with people with poor english skills struggling to fix things.

Pros

The softphone mobile app and desktop version are very well layed out. The system is very reliable and we have only had a few outages with it.

Cons

It's very complex to configure. The service and support is all run out of the Phillipines and they are very frustrating to work with since they don't understand American telephone systems. There is no way to speak to any one in the US.
