### "No upfront disclosure on 10DLC limitations + incorrect guidance and poor support"

We chose RingCentral specifically for SMS/texting to support customer communication as a licensed independent insurance agency, and we were clear about our business model and use case before signing the contract. At no point during the sales process were we informed of any limitation or risk that our business type might not be eligible for 10DLC approval. After onboarding, we were then told by multiple representatives across different departments that our business model was categorically disallowed for 10DLC and that there was no viable path to approval. After getting nowhere with support, we made adjustments ourselves and were able to successfully obtain 10DLC approval without any assistance from RingCentral, directly contradicting what we had been told. Once that was resolved, we then discovered that the functionality we originally needed, a shared SMS inbox for our team, is not included and requires an additional paid add-on (~$25 per user/month). This was also not clearly explained during the sales process, despite us outlining our requirements upfront. We have also experienced ongoing support issues. On multiple occasions, we had to follow up 2–3 times to receive a response, including from our assigned account representative, and have submitted technical questions that went unanswered and are still unanswered. We would have made a different decision had this information been disclosed prior to signing. Overall experience: •No upfront disclosure of potential 10DLC limitations •Incorrect guidance across multiple departments during setup •Lack of transparency around required features and pricing •Slow and inconsistent support responsiveness If you plan to rely on RingCentral for SMS/10DLC, especially in regulated industries, make sure you verify eligibility and required features independently before signing.

Pros

The core phone functionality works, but additional features require more setup and cost. That is about it

Cons

Misleading 10DLC guidance, lack of upfront disclosure, and key SMS features require additional paid add-ons not explained during sales. Support is slow and inconsistent

### "AN EXCELLENT APPLICATION FOR BUSINESS COMMUNICATION"

It's a very intuitive application to use. As a legal assistant, I use it daily to communicate with my clients and my team. It's fast, simple, and helps you stay connected in many ways.

Pros

It allows you to have a single phone number, without having to switch between different numbers. The fact that it also allows me to receive faxes is a great bonus. You can add multiple recipients, even when sending a fax.

Cons

The app sometimes malfunctions when trying to receive return phone calls. Another problem is that the default number selected is sometimes the company's main number and not the user's own number, which makes interaction difficult.

### "I love RingEx"

Overall experience is wonderful because it has saved me tons of money switching to a much less expensive but works just as great.

Pros

I really enjoy having the click to dial ability. I never have outages and rarely does this phone system get flagged as scam (my last one did). I almost never have any type of outage and it was so easy to set up and integrate with my current CRM. When an update caused issues they were very attentive and helpful. Great support! Plus it is the most cost effective one I found!

Cons

Hard to find something not to like! If I had to choose, I have experienced a delay once or twice but that may have been with my internet.

### "Overall a great phone provider"

Overall RingEX is awesome. It alleviates the need to have office (Landline) phones. I travel a lot so not needing to lug around a phone is great. And when I am on the go I never miss a call.

Pros

I love that it is an app that I have on my phone so I can call our customers straight from my cell phone. I am also able to message our VA in the Philippines straight from my phone or computer, we use it everyday of the week. We are easily able to record our customer phone calls for proof if something were to come up. The price is great and we are able to add new numbers for a very small price. The app is easy to use and we are able to block spam calls with ease.

Cons

Overall Ring EX has been great. We had a few issues in the beginning setting everything up but Most of those issues are behind us.

Pros

The interface is clean and intuitive. The mobile app remains reliably active with no missed calls or notifications

Cons

Love the audio and the softphone functionality but the video quality in meetings can be improved. It looks like the video quality is only 720p whereas some of the other vendors offer 4K.

### "RingEx provides a great small business VOIP service"

I am very pleased with the VOIP service RingEx provides my small business. It allows me to have a different business number from my personal cell phone, but always have my work phone with me!

Pros

RingEX is very easy to use with a intuitive interface making phone calls and sending faxes very simple. The pricing structure also allow us to get a great value for our business phones.

Cons

The voice to text transcriptions of voicemails sent to my email were not always accurate and led to some misunderstandings with clients. I would definitely recommend actually listening to each voicemail and not relying on the transcription.

It has been great. The navigation part of RingEx is very compatible and easy to work through. I have not reached out to customer service yet but that might be considered a good thing!

Pros

The idea you can transfer calls to anyone in your organization by just searching them up. The idea of just being able to have a secondary phone on your computer versus a physical phone is so helpful!

Cons

There have been times where it bugged out, and I wasn't receiving a call. Additionally, there were times when the call dropped randomly; however, this might of been to internet problems.

I was not a fan of how the integrations worked. For Hubspot they have the worst integration I have ever used they don't correctly use the API that hubspot provides and it makes it a terrible experience.

The system has been excellent and reliable.

Pros

It is quite efficient and effective to have several key business services in one spot. Telephony, group chat, text, fax, video conferencing. The reporting features and analytics are also very helpful.

Cons

4 stars because the system needs to integrate a global address feature that can be populated by admins without uploading archaic lists of external contacts (which is very difficult and not intuitive). Also the ability to configure the application's user interface remotely for each user would also be great.

### "Best for remote workers"

I work remotely. I believe it's easier for a company to afford remote workers than paying an on site worker, which is usually expensive. With Ring central, the company is able to cut down overall spending costs.

Pros

I was surprised that I could actually communicate with my team in the US while I am in Africa with just an internet access. The communication is flowless. Features like call recording, messaging. group videos, un reading a message, call log monitoring has reduced our company's operating costs. Lower overhead costs has helped our company increase its profits since we are a big team working remotely.

Cons

Sometimes messaging just stops without a warning. It's irritating especially when you are in the middle of a busy week and clients need to be contacted not only through a call. This affects the business really bad. As a staffing agency, we need constant communication with staffs and facilities to fill shifts. Sometimes the messaging issue would go for a week without being resolved. If it's account issues or issues with payment, RingCentral has to notify as at least a day or two days before. I hope they see this.

I like it, it's easy to use, I like the interface and the colors the app use. It is really intuitive and the calls quality is nice

Pros

I like that you are able to call international numbers without a problem. Also the interface is really easy to use, you don't need any kind of previous training to use it.

Cons

I don't like that when you answer the phone and it shows on the top of the app it hides the name of the person that is calling, you can see it before your answer but not once you are talking to the person.

Overall a positive experience. It is an easy interface, makes getting calls anywhere easy, even abroad because the app allows me to receive calls if I am on wifi, and fills all our calling and texting needs.

Pros

I like that I can get the office calls on my cell if I (or any of us) are out of the office, and can even transfer back a call to someone who is in the office. I like that the system includes texting because many of our clients prefer text to email so we can still use the business line for text communication with these clients.

Cons

There used to be some glitches with the app, it would restart or sometimes the app signal was not so strong but that seems to have gotten much better

Pros

Auto call recording, the phone app for desktop and mobile as well as being able to see in real time call status of colleagues is a key to this program. The message feature is a must as well.

The customer support was not very helpful. They used terms that I didn't understand, and no one was willing to help me understand. For example, I do not know what Ping means or how to do a "Speed test." Their ways of troubleshooting were not ever helpful.

Pros

The app was easy to use when making calls away from the office.

Cons

Not reliable for our technicians when out in the field. The call wouldn't go thru, causing our techs to have to block their personal numbers resulting in customers not recognizing the phone number and not answering.

### "Pretty good... "

We utilize RC MVP as our UCaaS solution and it works well for us.

Pros

RingCentral was one of the OG softphones. What has been released works, and they don't release new features until they work (unlike some other providers). The app is robust and feature-rich. The service is reliable and pretty much foolproof on wifi. The search feature within the app is amazing... literally indexes everything. The new layout is also very sleek and streamlined.

Cons

Because they take so long to push features through R&D, they sometimes don't have features available that are table-stakes for other providers. Calling isn't the best using a mobile connection, you almost always need to be on wifi. The app also doesn't always auto update and can get glitchy if it's not the latest version.
