Cons

The thing i like least about ringcentral is the text message feature.

### "Like having a landline - inside your computer and cell phone"

A very inexpensive way to enable all our staff to make calls to any country at any time. As a user, I find it highly easy to answer / make calls. As a manager, I really appreciate the ability to run reports on my staff's call volume, call durations, and to listen to recordings.

Pros

My company uses RingCentral for our entire staff. I like being able to answer my phone from wherever I am - no need to be in the office - or even the country! I also manage a team of sales people, so we use the recording feature in order to be able to play back and listen to their sales calls - highly useful for those time we need to play back a call to hear exactly what the lead said (or what we offered).

Cons

My number rings on both my computer and my cell phone. Most of the time I answer my ring central calls right from my computer right away - however my phone will keep ringing for 3 or 4 rings after I've already picked up on my computer. It's not a huge problem, but a bit annoying.

### "Great phone system"

We have had a few glitches but overall have been very happy with the product. We are committed to using it for our law firm's communications.

Pros

Ring Central allows me to make and receive calls on my mobile phone without giving my clients my personal number. The app interface is easy to use. I am also a huge fan of Ring Central activities (formerly Glip) that is a task manager. My paralegal and I manage all my tasks and to dos through it. I love that I can fax a word document directly from Ring Central without converting it to a pdf first. Big time saver. You get an email with copy of the texts you receive. Big help for tracking clients.

Cons

Sometimes there are problems connecting on the phone - not sure how much of that is my wifi or internet connection and how much is the app.

Honestly, the entirety of the RingCengral suite is really just more hassle and frustration than it's worth.

Pros

The biggest pro for this software is that VoIP really eliminates any kind of worry about the power going out, or being tied to a desk in order to do your work/take your calls. The other nice thing is that this suite of products via the VoIP service provides you with a phone number to utilize for work purposes (yes, even texting!) - which means no giving out your personal phone number for candidates and clients to utilize!

Cons

This software has literally 3 separate apps you have to use on a computer in order to call, send messages to people from outside your organization, and to send messages to your team internally. Plus, a fourth for video conference meetings. It's arguably one of the most convoluted systems I've ever personally come across. The system also frequently times out on its service (even though they recommend testing your internet/router bandwith for the VoIP, and mine is great) and other features. Often messages will go out, but not in, or vice versa. Sometimes the software will completely seize up and quit, or will get stuck. I've had it ring for 5 minutes straight with no one calling me, forcing me to restart my entire computer.

Pretty much scammy. Prices end up being the same as traditional services from the telco but they absolutely rope you in

Pros

When it works I can make phone calls. Voice mail is decent

Cons

We have used them for a year. We have regular intermittent outages with our phones for brief periods. Not the end of the world I suppose but certainly far worse service than you get from traditional services. They recently ran fiber to our business so obviously we are changing over. Phone lines are included in our fiber plan so we no longer need ringcentral. They will not allow us to terminate our plan early or even reduce our services or stop renting the equipment. They are going to bill us for services we no longer use or need. Very unprofessional.

Reason for choosing RingEX

The only single reason was ring central had an easier to use voice mail system

### "texting!!!"

Pros

Calls are easy to make and forward to other extensions.

Cons

We haven't been able to text in 3 months!!!!! Our TCR application has been jumping back and forth between being Denied and Pending. Every time we call RingCentral, they tell us they can't do anything about it except expedite the application (them expediting it is equal to us waiting 3 months to find out that it was denied for some undecipherable reason). Please heed this warning if you plan to buy RingCentral services. I have been better able to help myself with their services than if I were to call them to help me out. We paid for call and texting services yet we're only receiving calling services. Not only have we lost a lot of business due to not being able to text, but we also are paying more on our RingCentral bills than ever before. DON'T SIGN UP TO RINGCENTRAL IF YOU VALUE TEXTING.

### "The future of small business phone systems"

It's saved me money and given me more capability than my phone company ever could. It's also made it so I can be anywhere in the world working and still be able to use my business phone. It's been a great investment.

Pros

Not only does this software use my number, I have an additional number as well as fax capabilities. It also has text capabilities and the RingCentral features like RC meetings and Glip. It can be used through a softphone, computer, or cell phone/tablet. All of this costs as much as I was previously paying for one line through our phone company.

Cons

It can be a pain when needing to use it on another computer. I have to go into the website, deactive the other computer to use it on the one I am on at the time. It's an extra step that takes time that I usually don't have.

### "Ringcentral not as easy as it appears to be."

Overall it has been an okay experience but It would be even better if clients could log in a bit easier.

Pros

I like that this product allows me to easily share my screen and record the screen sharing for meetings that I have daily with clients.

Cons

About half of the clients who try to log in have trouble at some point. Some of these clients are never able to login. Me personally I have had no problem with the software but for those non-tech savvy clients it has been an ongoing issue.

### "They always suggest it is your problem and not yours"

I'm changing services after being stuck with them for 2 years.

Pros

I liked the ease of doing video meetings. However everything else about it was poor at best.

Cons

Customer service support was horrible. There is poor follow-up on issues and everything takes at least an hour to go through and the issue will still not be resolved. They don't care about your time and availability and would also call to follow up at 6pm or later even on a Friday evening. It costs too much per line to get such poor service and performance. They blame every issue on YOUR internet provider but my peers have all the same problems and just give up and pray that it will work when they need it to work- you can't know for sure when and if it will work!

None. I have advised my company to find a new provider before RingCentral sneakily attempt to auto renew our contract for another year.

Pros

RingCentral allows you to make calls consistently. In the 2+ years of use, I cannot recall a time where we experienced any downtime. RingCentral also allows you to easily and quickly purchase vanity phone numbers.

Cons

Customer support is incredibly poor and challenging to obtain. Technical support was never able to assist, and alway deferred to my account executive, who would consistently take a full 5 business days to respond to any inquiry. RingCentral's IVR system is basic at best. Reporting and metrics are nearly impossible to obtain. Stay far, far away if you're looking for even basic reporting.

### "All around solution"

The experience thus far has been great, we have not experienced any outages. Another selling point was the integration of Ring Central Rooms which powers all of our conference rooms and is a really great tool.

Pros

It includes all form of communication: Messaging with Glip, Video conferencing, and standard audio calls.

Cons

A large meeting license (100 or more users on a meeting) is static and cannot dynamically move between accounts.

Easy to navigate, and I like that it's an app that the whole team can access and use.

Pros

A great alternative to having to get a traditional phone line for your small business. Very user friendly app and I like that my whole team can access it from all of our devices no matter where we are. I also love the feature that it transcribes all of our voicemails for easy access.

Cons

We would love to see more features preventing spam callers as we sometimes get multple per business day.

Pros

\- Good call quality. Since it's VoIP, I was worried about call quality and dropped calls - but we've had RingCentral almost 2 years and I've never had an issue. It's all dependent on your internet connection, so if your internet is not great, then RingCentral probably isn't the best option for you. - Once you get the hang of it, it's easy to manage accounts and set up new users. - Great if you don't have a receptionist, or if most of your employees work remotely. You can have physical phones, as well as and app so that employees can use their cell phones. - Much cheaper than most standard phone carriers. - Fax option is great, you don't have to have a real fax machine - just a scanner.

Cons

\- Implementation wasn't hard, but their administrative account is not the most user friendly. There are a ton of settings options, and if you don't use the phone system exactly how RingCentral assumes you will, it can take a while to configure your way and get around certain defaults. - Customer service is about what you'd expect - only a call center with agents that are hard to understand. Luckily we only needed customer service during implementation, we haven't had any issues since. - Employees will need to be trained, you can't just hand them the phone and account and tell them to run with it. One older employee had an extremely hard time with faxing - couldn't get over the fact that there wasn't a real fax machine.

Sometimes it has issues like not logging calls, or the calls get "stuck" and I can't close out even once the calls are done.

### "Great product for on the go!"

Being able to stay in constant communication with clients. Texting allows for more instantaneous responses and clients love it!

Pros

I love being able to transfer calls to any number. I travel somewhat regularly - all I do is download the app to my phone and I can make calls from my business number right from my personal cell. Clients see the business number instead of mine! I can also send text messages and faxes through the service. The VoIP option is great if cell signal is down.

Cons

I've been using this product for several years and I honestly don't have anything negative to say about it. Only issue I ever had was with a ring central phone that wouldn't connect to the wifi and the company sent a replacement.

### "Efficiency for your business"

Pros

We have been using Rippling for the last 4 years. We started with a small staff to now about 100. Ring central has been very efficient in keeping everyone communicated since most of the staff is on the field. Very easy to use and the customer service is exceptional. Never had any big issues, but as a growing company we've needed to implement changes to adapt to our growth, and their customer service has been very professional, friendly and knowledgeable.

Cons

We never had any issues or anything we don' like about the system. We've actually have aquired separate sets for our grown regions.

Pros

J'ai vraiment apprécié ce logiciel, efficace pour mes réunions en ligne avec mes collaborateurs d'autres pays. Ce logiciel nous donnes la possibilité de réécouter des conversations téléphoniques si un détail nous avait échappé.

Cons

Ce logiciel coûte cher mais vaut quand même le coût d'être utilisé. Le support technique ne s'engage dans la résolution de certaines interruptions. Vous êtes en temps record éjecté de l'application. Ce support technique devrait être revu.

As a sales rep, I’m able to make so many more calls in a day thanks to this tool. I used to work for a company that didn’t have anything like it and we picked up the phone every time - we would handle about 1/4 of the amount of calls I make in this job.

Pros

That I don’t have to dial the customers’ numbers, ever again. For a high call volume job (sales, professional services, support) it’s so crucial. Integrates with our CRM - makes my day so much easier and I can focus on reaching more people than admin work.

Cons

That it doesn’t let me do the same for texting. And that sometimes it lags. We also tried the new version and it doesn’t recognize any letters beside the number, won’t let me dial at all (I.e. 888-666-1122 cell).

Telephone auto attendants have become somewhat commoditized in their pricing. It's beyond understanding then that Ringcentral would undertake a pricing revision that tripled the monthly cost of their SaS to our company. Perhaps they're contemplating a merger/offering and attempting to boost their value short-term. I can't imagine that in the middle to long term many Ringcentral customers will accept the new pricing strategy when so many lower-priced equivalent alternatives exist.

Pros

Reliable-- over three years of use the web based system did not have any notable downtime. Ease of use-- easy to implement our telephone map on the Ringcentral system.

Cons

Customer service. Our company had three separate Ringcentral accounts. Sadly, after several years of using Ringcentral they changed their "pricing strategy" which doubled, and then tripled our monthly service charge-- although we did not change our business or the way we used the software.

I appreciate the many capabilities Ring Central Provides . I am able to text customers and they loved that they could communicate that way and attach images if needed. Love the ease of setting up meetings. Love being able to favorite people or groups and move positions. Options to add attachments or just paste an images is convenient. Gif feature is fun.

Pros

Able to favorite people and/or groups, Mobile Capabilities, Text, and Ease of scheduling/attending meetings.

Cons

I can't say that there is anything I like the least. I love that there are so many features and it's easy to use. It has been down a few times, but it's not so many times to warrant a complain. It happens with technology at times and is expected.

We use this software to record all incoming and outbound calls. The app is easy to navigate and provides a pleasant user experience.

Pros

The App is easy to navigate. All information is easily accessible. Reporting analytics regarding incoming calls is easy.

Cons

No real downside to this software. You can forward the line to ring a cell phone in case you are not in office.
