### "Reliable Product For Our Needs"

I manage a technical support center and we utilize Netop Remote Control software to establish a connection to and interface with remote systems at our customers' locations. Once connected the support center agents will utilize the connection while on the phone with the customer to troubleshoot and resolve their issue. It is very important that we have this connectivity available when we need it and Netop software has never let us down. We have also found the support from Netop to be extremely helpful with any concerns or needs that we may have.

Pros

We never have any issues with the software working as intended. It is imperative to our customers that we have remote access available when needed. Netop Remote Control software is always reliable and allows us the connectivity we require.

Cons

We have not encountered any Cons with this product at this time.

### "Excellent for certain scopes"

Pros

It is easy to install and use. It certainly makes work more efficient.

Cons

The IP security is not really there for situations like we have. In a school or small business environment where everyone is a member of the same organization it would be excellent. Where the users are not from the same organization, the ability to secure IP is very important and is not addressed well in the current versions.

### "Netop review"

Pros

The good thing is Netop allows you to make system changes using a remote connection, proving helpful in a lot of business situations. You can install programs, run scripts etc.

Cons

It works slow a lot of times, the app process can break often and needs the computer to be manually rebooted. Kicks out from the remote connection often when switching users

### "Good product overall"

Product does what it supposed to, most of the time. Support is great with any issue you'll might have with the product.

Pros

Very good for Domain environment. Unattended access is pretty much why we bought it, It comes with a lot of extra features

Cons

Sometimes the host client stops working, and we cant access the host until the host will restart his machine.

### "NetOp remote control - unlocking EPOS automation"

Overal experience has been one that I would describe as excellent. Before we discovered the NetOp tool, we'd been trying and failing to automate our EPOS tills in the test environment. As business look to shift left as much as possible with early automation it was critical we found a solution to this. NetOp has resolved all problems we faced..slow network performance, miss-aligned mouse pointers to name a few. We are now well underway to a fully automated EPOS test environment, something a number of larger named partners were not capable of achieveing. I will sing about NetOp for a long time come!

Pros

NetOp remote control is a wonderful tool that has enabled my business to unlock the power of EPOS automation. It's easy to setup and configure and even easier to use. It's got great response times when in remote control of a terminal and allows for connectivity into the company's active directory for a full view of users and devices accessible.

Cons

Had a minor issue with licensing and an uplifted version of the software, ultimately this came down to user error and itself lead to a very good experience with customer support. Shout out to those guy for helping out on such a basic problem!!!

### "In general, Impero meets our needs "

The overall experience is that Impero portal setup is the right chose for our department, where we have many machines placed at sites worldwide.

Pros

It is good to scale users to different hosts which do that many OEM's can share the same portal It is highly positive that we don't need any hardware.

Cons

when you have 50+ devices, guests, roles etc. ant the portal default always show 10. then it takes time to go down and chose to change to present 100 lines per page. For me the portal must default always present all devices, users etc. then you can degrease if needed.In same way some of the combo boxes cannot show all lines in the combo box.If you as an example should find a device starting with Z it is not possible to scroll down to Z if there are many devises.

Reason for choosing Impero Connect

Mostly because that Impero don't need any hardware.It is a mature product and have service worldwide and the price policy is acceptable.

### "Solid program with good support"

Our users demand a lot of hand-holding, and it would be difficult to keep up if we could not "look over their shoulders". Our users have a difficult time explaining their problems accurately; once we can see what they are doing, we're generally just a few clicks away from a solution.

Pros

Requires no effort from the users of the host computers. Many features to cover many situations. Newer versions allow for a central server to handle authentication, eliminating the need to plant credentials on each host for each guest.

Cons

It's a little tricky to generate an MST file for the installation, but at least they have a program to do it, and Support cleared up the issues.

### "Great classroom solution with many options"

Pros

I love the ability to keep an eye on students as they work, being able to lock down the computers, and using the "run" applications to assist in software installs across a lab.

Cons

Working across subnets over active directory can be complicated. I have yet to use a version that allows more than one "teacher" to be connected to the same room. This causes the software to be useless in situations when a "teacher" is already connected and I need access from a remote location.

Fairly easy to use, very secure, self contained product that doesn't require any extra software/rights on OS to function.

Cons

Interface is older look and feel. Needs a refresh. Security server interface is painful and need a complete overhaul.

The ability to take control of machines in order to offer real time support to other people is the best part of this software. You can solve problems and learn other people to solve theirs themselves, this way.

Cons

I have not found any disadvantage in this.

### "Accessing the Start Menu is a game changer"

Having the ability to remote into a POS system to solve many problems and grant requests has elevated our team productivity immensely. Many problems are now solved within 15 minutes right from the desk rather than deploying a tech to visit the site to solve a simple problem.

Pros

Many remote control apps offer the same features as Netop, but this one has a feature I haven't seen in any other and that is "send Ctrl+Esc". This is the same as pressing the Windows key to access the Start Menu. Our POS system runs on top of Windows, like most do, and the start menu isn't present during usual operation. Being able to open the Start Menu quickly to access any installed software and access File Explorer is a game changer.

Cons

It's rare, but we experienced some of our installations requiring attention because remote access isn't available. In most cases it an authorization issue with the configuration file and needs to run through the Setup Wizard again.

I like that this program allows me to reach out and help stores for with any computer issues or items that they need extra direction on.

Cons

The are a couple of things that would be nice. I would like to see an option to be able to put different stores in to several different groups.

Cons

Deployment could be improved as far as learning how to do it to a domain. Guest interface could be improved.

Overall, I have always been pleased with Netop. It is a great program to use.

Pros

I have been a long time user of Netop. I had a client introduce me to it. I was a firm believer in Symantec pcAnywhere. I quickly moved everything over to Netop when I saw how much better it was. It has been many years and the product has changed drastically. It's a great solution to use when you want to remote control your clients.

Cons

I really have never run into any issues with using this package. I have nothing bad to say about this product at all.
