OpenFlows WaterCAD is water distribution modeling and analysis software. It designs new water systems and manages existing water networks to reduce disruption risks and energy use. The software analyzes fire flow, water quality, energy cost, and pump modeling. It performs what-if scenario management to predict system reactions. The software reduces energy expenses by comparing pump strategies. It improves water distribution system reliability through criticality analysis of pipes and valves.

OpenFlows WaterCAD Reviews
"Specialized software for the design and analysis of hydraulic structures. "
Overall: I work in two companies, one of them public. From my experience, this software is very complete, but it is only affordable for public entities or large companies.
Pros: The best thing is that it is complete, it not only designs the hydraulic networks, like other software, but it also simulates environments to determine their effect on the water networks.
Cons: Its main disadvantage is the cost, since compared to its direct competition it is somewhat high. However, it has specialized functions that others do not have, which should be taken into account.
"Advanced hydraulic software "
Overall: It feels fluid to work with, without the need for advanced hardware. It can model from simple to complex hydraulic systems and you can test its benefits through its trial version.
Pros: The most striking feature for our working group, which at the moment is evaluating whether to purchase the product, is the ability to simulate not only small but also large drinking water distribution networks without generating a delay due to the amount of information being processed.
Cons: Perhaps the only disadvantage could be the cost, however I consider that it is an affordable price for work groups or medium-sized companies, not only for large ones. It also has a trial version to determine its potential.
