Great for launching our first "Membership" program as a track trust. Has all we need, there are a few features, that we as a trust dont use, butmight be useful in the future.

Pros

Ease of use and the set up relatively easy Communication to members via emails Cistomer Support is quick & helpful

Cons

It has taken me a bit of time to get familiar with the email- newsletter template. But feel more confident now + great support when i get stuck.

It's less than a year since we transitioned to Hivepass, but I'd have to say that so far we are impressed. The functionality is already very good and it's getting better all the time.

Pros

It's relatively user friendly and you get great support from Hivepass who are very responsive. It's allowed us to bring together a couple of functions that were previously managed through separate platforms.

Cons

I know it's in the works, but it would be great to have an admin app or an admin section added to the existing app.

It has helped us boost our membership numbers and made the administration very light touch. The auto renewal function is a great advantage also

Cons

It is set up more for bike parks so some of the default comms have caught us out as a climbing club.

Overall, HivePass has been a great product to work with and the team have been highly responsive and very helpful.

Pros

Both the HivePass team and product are responsive, useful, and great to work with. The product is constantly improving and the team is highly responsive. Performance has been consistent, and any questions or edge cases we’ve encountered were handled quickly by their support team. That level of responsiveness builds real confidence, especially when integrating a platform into core operations. Onboarding was smooth, the UI is clean and thoughtfully designed, and it’s clear a lot of attention has been paid to user workflow. Finding all this in an app run by, optimized for, and enabling mountain bikers is a rare gift.

Cons

As with any currently growing products, there are minor functionality gaps. These gaps have, however, mostly already been defined by the team and are publicly vote-able and prioritizable by customers, which is great!

Hivepass has been an absolute game-changer for Rainbow Ski Club. The entire setup and onboarding process was seamless from start to finish, making it incredibly easy for us to transition our memberships and passes without disruption. Responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping us get everything right, which made a big difference when rolling this out to our members. We couldn’t be happier with how smooth and intuitive the platform is, both on the admin side and for our community. Highly recommended for any club or organisation looking for a modern, reliable membership solution.

Pros

The onboarding was seamless, and the membership management is really well thought out. \[sensitive content hidden\] support was amazing.

Cons

The only bug i found was that the unique link didn't work on my computer. Had to restart it to get it to work. Which meant I sent out the wrong code to our membership base.

Really good, from a management perspective it’s very straightforward, and allows us gain membership insights and communicate easily with our membership.

Pros

It’s a really great simple system which helps busy volunteer led organisations to take the hassle out of membership management. It’s super easy for our members to use, and our membership has increased as a result of using Hivepass.

Cons

There isn’t all the functionality, so we still use social media like Instagram and Strava for some things, we maintain a website and sell merchandise independently. But that’s ok, Hivepass does exactly what it needs to do.

It has been a really positive experience and we have been provided a lot of support. I was initially worried about importing our members from our prior system and that was a much smoother transition than I expected.

Pros

I love that members can manage their information and see the chapter's information in an app, that they receive a digital membership card, and can access their member benefits through the app with their card.

Cons

It would be great to be able to export more data and I'm looking forward to having the unique email servers for the email campaign and additional functionality being built out for features like events in the future.

We have been using hivepass for the past 2 years - it has simplified our processes for taking donations (park pass) and makes financial reconciliations a breeze. We used to employ staff to to do this, so have saved significant dollars there alone. Plus being highly technically challenged myself, I am so grateful for the quick and clear responses and detailed guidance for my numerous and sometimes totally obvious (stupid) questions! I feel valued and am always looked after - very rare in the tech world.

Pros

Absolutely fantastic tech support and service. The best online communications, support and experience ever!

Cons

No cons. We love it! Ok, well I found it pretty daunting at first but with the expert guidance and advice these guys offer - that has gone. I know that the team will work with me on any issues/concerns that we have.

You can tell they care about the quality of the product and want to make sure it's accomplishing what we want it for. They are attentive to the needs of the organizations making use of the app and it's only going to get better.

Pros

Customer service is great. It's always intimidating to learn new software but they walked us through everything and made set up and launch a breeze. As far as app functionality, love the easy customization options and features that help make membership more than a superficial title.

Cons

Any recommendations we have that would make the app better are either already on the docket or have been freely shared with the developers to look into.

The level of service that HivePass provides really can't be overstated. When we have questions or requests, responses are quick and thoughtful (not canned or chatbot responses) but real and effective. Our first year has been a really great experience, and we look forward to growing our membership and serving our community better with Hivepass for years to come. The app saves us so much administrative time and has been well received by our members. The push notifications are a huge bonus, especially in a world where algorithms are ever-changing and our content gets harder for members to see. Many of our members aren't on the more traditional social media channels, so having another way to communicate is essential. Thanks to the team (and to Flon specifically for being such a solid dude). We are very excited about the future!

Pros

\-very intuitive to use -reliable app -good price point -good functionality for 90% of our admin tasks -fast & efficient customer service -clear and concise start-up guides -transparent development timeline -responsiveness to feature requests/updates

Cons

\-it's hard to really identify things that we don't like about Hivepass. We have a small list of "nice to haves," and everything on that list is in some stage of development.

Really positive, it does handle 99%of what e need. It could use an email function as mail chimp pretty isn't a great fit and another expensive clubs don't need to have on top of everything else.

Pros

Tech support. I'll be honest i love the hivepass is so easy to operate and when I need help the response is fast and bang on first time ever time

Cons

Maybe only that I haven't discovered an admin app for my phone. There might be a good one but haven't figured it out yet

The whole process has been extremely smooth. The developers have gone out of their way to customise the integration for our specific needs having to integrate with Auscycling. All suggested features have been added or are on the list of future updates

Pros

This is a must-have for all Mountain Bike Clubs. So many great features, including push notifications, trail status updates and news! The usability of the app and the app admin console is super simple and user-friendly. The admin console gives you all your member data instantly! Very clear and easy to use. Having membership options directly in the app has increased our membership numbers!

Cons

Nothing the app is great and a huge value add for our mountain bike club

Excellent after sales service and communication with the developer. Very few businesses now-days offer a good after sales service. Hivepass is the exception.

Pros

An modern app, designed in New Zealand, which makes the admin for membership very easy.

Cons

Family membership not able to be on a subscription, only available on single year. But individual memberships are available single year and subscription

Hivepass has provided a membership platform that has saved many hours of manual management.

Pros

Deployment was super easy and the product instantly provided essential functionality without us even having to describe what that should be.

Cons

The product is young, meaning that it lacks functionality outside of core areas and the interfaces can be a bit clunky. We've also experienced a few bugs. However this is also a good thing in that there is a very active development programme that we have been invited to submit our requests and priorities into.

Our membership base has increased already, and we haven't even been through a full year. It's really brought the image of the club up to date. Personal support from the developer has been awesome!

Pros

This app has modernised our membership process, it's improved the image of the club and made signing up for membership easy and appealing, and allows people to easily their membership status. The option for automatic renewal of membership frees up heaps of time. Our members have easy access to special deals, and we can send them notifications for big news items.

Cons

I haven't been through membership renewal process yet, I imagine there will be some work in addition to the in-built functionality with reminding members to renew.

It has reduced the amount of work I have to do manually and interfaces well with the Xero accounting software.

Pros

It makes my Treasurer/accountant job easier by having a fully integrated weekly reporting tool which integrates with other applications. Also there is an automated donation receipt function now. At one stage I was having to do this semi- manually and it was a days worth of work a month.

Cons

The lack of an event feature. This is being developed but is not yet available. We use another system which is not nearly as well integrated and takes time and manual work ie spreadsheets for summarising transactions.

The ability to have an IOS app for member signup and comms. The ability to work with the developer to create a system that integrates easily.

Hivepass is easy to use and any time there has been an issue the developer has been extremely quick at rectifying it and providing assistance. Queenstown Mountain Bike Club could not run without Hivepass.

Pros

Hivepass has been instrumental in growing QMTBC membership from 900 members to almost 2000 in 2 and a half months. It has freed up valuable volunteer time to focus on other aspects of the club and takes care of almost all of the membership administration for us.

Cons

We are working the developer to create features to increase the apps capacity in event registration and health and safety documentation.

Saved so much admin time and takes the financial dealings away from volunteers. Easy to capture more members, signups onsite at events, with a simple weblink.

Pros

It's mobile integration and easy workflow for users to join our club. It means there is more time for us as volunteers to spend arranging events and easier to capture new members on the spot!!

The overall experience has been great. Any trouble shooting has been very easy and communication with the developer was always great. they anticipated any issues and made us aware ahead of time about any decisions we might need to make at certain points in regards to updates etc. There have been no nasty surprises, only a good experience.

Pros

This software reduced the amount of admin our volunteers needed to complete to almost zero. Enabling local businesses to support us with member deals and discounts that are put right in front of our members gives them the confidence to support us with some great deals, which further drives membership. The newsfeed is a great asset - being such a succinct and direct channel of communication that is admin low and very effective. The ability to offer subscription as a payment option is also of huge benefit to the club. There is a lot to love about this software!

Cons

I can only think of really small things, such as; it would be great to add video or multiple images to the newsfeed.
