## What is KIBO Commerce?

KIBO is a MACH-certified, composable commerce platform designed for retailers, manufacturers, wholesalers, and distributors to handle complex business requirements, such as account-based pricing, multi-site catalogs, and layered promotions. KIBO unifies B2B and B2C eCommerce, Order Management, and Agentic on a single, API-first architecture. Our platform enables enterprises to manage multiple business models (i.e., D2C, B2B2C) from one source of truth. Key capabilities include LLM-agnostic AI Agents for autonomous merchandising and service, complex pricing/promotions, and real-time shopping assistance. KIBO’s modularity allows brands to augment existing systems with specific Packaged Business Capabilities (PBCs) or migrate incrementally without a costly replatform. Key features include contract pricing & quotes for B2B, reverse logistics, cart & checkout, subscriptions, AI search, AI Agents, headless CMS, catalog management, product configuration, promotion management, and MCP server.

Overall, a great platform for hosting multiple sites in a single admin with ease. Very reliable and a great partner. Professional features and an exceptional integration/migration team. The only real complaint we have is our most recent experiences with support.

Pros

Reliable, trustworthy software to build our 5 ecommerce sites on. Hosted platform means someone else is constantly monitoring the performance and hardware needs of our sites. Out of box features are smooth, polished and easy to use.

Cons

Customizations for specific business needs can take time and money to accomplish. Support lately (Kibo, not Marketlive) has been disappointing.

Kibo is on top of industry best practices and near cutting if not leading edge technology. We never felt like we needed to push Kibo to add this or that - they brought it to market.

Pros

Very intuitive, robust, comprehensive and most of all solid in performance and security. Fairly easy to add in partner functionality in marketing or other areas over the years.

Cons

For the version we were on there were several modules. That can be a good thing or a bad thing, but depending on how many parts you need, the costs could add up quickly.

Reasons for choosing KIBO Commerce

Reliability, performance, and capability were key factors. We also were a good fit - they were not too big or too small to care about our piece of business or voice.

Pros

Straight forward platform, integrated into our website with ease. We have our own developers so the process was fairly seamless. This is great for basic usage within an e-commerce platform.

Cons

API integration was not what we were looking for - Platform did not provide the ability to communicate with our Marketing or ERP software
