Pretty good. Ive been here for years, since early v3. Its good to see that improvements are made. Support has been great when I have needed it.

Pros

It stores everything. We use it for all internal and client facing documentation and SOP / KB's. It has integrations with most of our platforms. Support is good, even to the point of implementing features as I request them.

Cons

Theres not really a lot. Sometimes it is hard to find options in the settings. I don't often have to go through those settings so finding something seems to be difficult. A search in the admin settings would probably help (not just the filter on the mail heading, something that searches through all the settings) Billing is annoying. It needs a delay added. If i add a user by mistake and instantly remove it, or if a staff member leaves and i remove them but they are replaced on the same day. Then there is multiple reductions and additions on the same day in the bill. It makes the invoice very hard to read. Adding a delay to calculate the user counts at the end of the day would be better. So adding and removing doesnt trigger multiple items on the invoice.

At the time, i was small. they had minimum numbers to purchase, and was more expensive then. I think the prices are about the same now. I have also looked at Hudu after having SI Portal. It does look prettier and was cheaper, but the change over would be a nightmare.

Overall has helped get all my password, diagrams location and assets organized.

Pros

Overall is a good product and like the interface, would like to be able to customize or create custom fields in the general tab. I use templates but they do not always work properly. I do like that it is a documentation and password manager both are great together use it everyday.

Cons

Could be improved but overall is a good product.

Passportal was from Solarwinds, software really never worked support and sales are horrible. No wonder they changed their name to N-able, they called me to see if I wanted to sign again told them I will never do business with a company like N-able.

Cons

\- Chaotic, not linear, not uniform - Sometime the same feature is implemented differently based on the object - Absence of a real reporting system to obtain an offline readable and dense documentation.

IT Portal is a daily operational tool for us. We use it each time we need to login into a customer system, have to recover a username or login. we keep file and backup config within each device, for each customer. Some customer have access to their data directly.

Pros

The pricing is good for a small team. It's responsive, quick, stable. Easy to setup and provisionning for customer. Information is quickly reachable with the browser extension plugin.

Cons

More training video, with more exempe would be more easy to understand what section is and how it's intendent to be use. Some way to view file inside the portal than have either choice to download or view in web browser. More customizable forms, categories/class, devices, that we can remove what is not needed. Improvement and add control on the ip restriction / mfa / security with the possibility of mixing some security feature.

Since we deployed IT Portal, and mandated staff keep it updated, we have not looked back. It has allowed us to properly document our clients networks, not to mention our own, and integrations continue to improve and expand.

Pros

I consider IT Portal a full fledged IT Documentation product. I find the pricing to be reasonable, and functionality and stability to be top notch. They continuously develop the Portal so new functionality is added pretty much monthly. Most of the time, the Portal responds quite quickly on a server that is far from a high resource system.

Cons

I would like to see the relationships functionality beefed up a bit more. I would like to be able to add more details to the nature of the relationships than is currently possible at the time of this review.

Pros

Having compared to IT Glue in this space it made sense due to us being a nimble MSP to opt for this solution. Support has been excellent, taking on any feedback or bugs within the software. Quickly patched and any concerns are quickly actioned. Product has proved useful in helping win clients over. Highly recommend to anyone looking at an IT documentation portal.

Cons

IT Glue has the facility of running of what are known as run books, PDF documents that can be handed to a client when offloading. This product doesn't have this feature, not exactly a deal breaker but something to consider.

Pros

Constantly innovating and adding functionality. Feature rich. Can use on premise or cloud version which was key for our organization. Most competitors are cloud only. Nice integration with other PSA and RMM solutions. Must more cost effective than competitors.

Cons

Updates break functionality at times. The company is generally quick to release fixes.

Overall, our experience with IT Portal has been good. Search has been improved since we first adopted it and the interface has been recently updated. Still a good value for anyone who needs this type of platform.

Pros

The feature set for the price is a very good value. We use it mainly as a secure documentation portal to store details on networks, software licenses, contracts, etc. Compared to other products we trialed, we felt that the license cost, included templates, and ease of use was a better value than competing products like IT Glue and faster to get up and running.

Cons

We integrate with RepairShopr to import assets. This works ok, but integration could be better.

The company themselves has been great to work with. Their support is super responsive and helpful fixing bugs or adding in feature requests. The price is really good to which helps ease the burden on some of the issues that crop up. I really feel like they are trying to have a great product.

Pros

The software is really well laid out and has a ton of features and customization. It's great knowing we have a centralized place to put all of our data and that it is all going to be entered with consistency.

Cons

It feels slow at times and not quite as zippy as compared to the other programs that we retrieve information from. It can also feel a little clunky at times. Sometimes thing will break after an update that has been working really well.

Reason for choosing IT Portal

The level of built-in templates (which IT Boost did not have) and the level of customization that it had (which IT Glue did not). Their prices are really reasonable as well.

Overall, the product works for what you need it for!

Pros

The most impactful features is some of the one's not well known. Such as running an agent that gathers information on the workstations and uploading it to the cloud. The newer version is a better UI feel than the pervious one. Overall, for the major things you need for a documentation platform is easy to access.

Cons

Some of the features are a little clunky and not easy.

Pros

We purchased this software to help centralize our IT team's knowledge and provide a quick reference for KB's, Passwords, and asset info. It has been outstanding! Everything in the portal is linkable so when I create an entry for a password login, I can link it directly to the device, it's pictures, and it's info along with it's relevant KB. I don't use it for workstation asset management just servers and physical equipment. This along with PDQ Inventory/Deploy are my two favorite pieces of software that we run. We were using ManageEngine PMP for passwords but the functionality of IT Portal quickly overtook it. The auto formatting for creating KB's is excellent, you can paste just about anything and it will come out looking clean.

Cons

There are two interfaces, v3 and v4. I think v3 should be gotten rid of personally as v4 is much better. Sometimes I have to select v4 when I login.

None. For our specific use of this service/product, it fit every aspect we needed and even some wish list items. After having used IT Glue for years it was refreshing to find an alternative solution that was stable, secure, and robust enough to grow with our needs.

Pros

Integrates with Microsoft 365, our RMM solutions and many other solutions. Constantly adding new features based on our requests. Extremely customizable. Customer service and support is second to none. Clearly the best support vs all of our other solutions.

Cons

Sometimes new releases cause bugs that require a workaround. However customer support gets onto these very quickly. Not as visually appealing as the more expensive products, which isn't really any issue.

We are very pleased with it and it is allowing us to have ONE location for all of our information.

Pros

Coming from an IT GLUE environment, I was pleasantly surprised about how much easier and customizable IT PORTAL was! The other deciding factor for us was the ON PREM solution they offer. We are a hospital and are very strict regarding security. I love the interface and performance of the product. You have definitely converted me!

Cons

I wish I could create a Document Application category and NEST documents and folders. I was taught how to do this under Configs, but it is confusing to a new user.

I am a very fussy IT consultant: using IT Portal allows me to document the devices and configurations that are carried out in order. Also when a customer asks me about his IT environment, he is impressed how efficient I am. This is thanks to IT Portal

Pros

You can enter assets, people, company users and passwords .. and an easy way to combine them with a logical sense. The integration with various common software (RMM, Office365, ticket management ...) further enriches the information of our assets.

Cons

I still haven't found a way to represent the switch / VLAN configuration (the same also happens with products like IT Glue, which have a higher cost, however)

I was nervous initially about using the software BUT once I had used it for a couple of weeks it is fairly straight forward to use. I knwo I am NOT using it to its full potential

I mainly use IT Portal for account management and password storage I can access the account int he office or on site via laptop or mobile which is great

The size can be a little small on the desktop and I have yet to figure out how to make it larger
