When my employer runs step tracking competitions, I feel inspired to get away from my desk and monitor my progress. It also helps facilitate some nice interactions with colleagues who are also participating in the same initiative. Pros makes participating in health based competitions my employer occasionally runs very streamlined. It's helpful to see leaderboard of my colleagues so I can track my progress against them. Really easy to sync it with all sorts of data sources (FitBit, Apple Watch, Google Fit, etc.) meaning everyone had some way of easily joining (or really, no excuse not to join). Cons The interface isn't that great. It is fairly functional and a bit dated looking, but technically it does what it needs to do. It would be nice if it synced quicker the steps people had taken. Yummuv proved to be the optimal solution for our needs after reviewing multiple providers. We were able to set up different individual challenges - where our employees would join based on a personal daily goal (some overachievers, some just moderate); team challenges - where as a company we would work together towards a team goal; and some fun alternative challenges - like drinking water. Integrates with most tracking devices.The challenges available matched what our company was looking forCustomer service was very prompt whenever we had questions. Pros The intra-company leaderboard of is it's killer feature. You naturally check in on your and your collegues progress while competing in a friendly sports competition.Integration with various fitness trackers and fitness tracking apps, as well as low stakes of competition discourages cheating.Finally, the diverse monthly goals keep competitions, even after a year of using the platform. Cons Integration with Google Fit is sometimes quite slow and you see your statistics only after a few hours has passed. Though after about a year of doing almost exclusively step challenges, the motivation is lost. It seems that we all generally walk about the same amount of steps each month, so those who have the most steps always have the most steps. It's no contest. Pros It holds people accountable when being challenged against others. Everyone can see everyone else's stats and work to exceed them. Cons It is not directly compatible with Samsung Health.
