Es gibt einen Spruch, "Früher war alles besser"! Leider trifft dieser Spruch auch auf xmedia zu. Xmedia (bzw. der Datenmanager) wurde in den letzten Monaten "verschlimmbessert.

Pros

Ich arbeite nur mit dem Datenmanager von xmedia. Die Einführung, Integration und die Schulung erfolgte schnell und fast ohne Schwierigkeiten. Mir gefällt die fast einfache Bedienung im Datenmanager. Sehr hilfreich war nach einem Software-Update die Möglichkeit, mittels Javascripte bestimmte Lösungen und Berechnungen durchzuführen. Ich arbeite sehr sehr gerne im xmedia!

Cons

Leider wurde seit einem Software-Update vor ungefähr einem Jahr meine Freude getrübt! Der Datenmanager verhält sich nicht mehr wie jahrelang gewohnt! Klicke ich Produkte an, so "wandert" das angeklickte Produkt im Fenster (Strukturbaum) nach unten. Verschiebe ich Produkte, so öffnet sich immer ein weiteres Fenster mit "kryptische" Informationen. Die Arbeit im Datenmanager hat sich verschlechtert!

Wer ein vielfältiges Produktdatenmodell mit vielen verschiedenen Ausleitkanälen verwalten will, sollte sich xmedia anschauen.

Pros

Komplette Flexibilität hinsichtlich Datenmodellierung um verschiedene Sichten (domänenspezifisch, verschiedene Klassifikationen, Ausleitungsspezifisch, etc.) auf ein Produkt abzubilden. Preis-Leistung ist auch sehr gut. Die neue REST-API ist natürlich auch ein Pluspunkt.

Cons

Die Benutzerfreundlichkeit leidet ein bisschen unter der hohen Vielfalt an Möglichkeiten. Die Lernkurve ist relativ hoch, da es wenig vorgefertigte Standardprozesse gibt, an denen man sich entlanghangeln kann. Die Konfiguration von Datenimporten könnte auch benutzerfreundlicher gestaltet werden.
