And xray quality is very high. Easy to train new users Pros The ease of use and set up. Images come out clean and precise for immediate viewing. Great for the doctor and patient viewing. Cons Customer time frame to resolve issues is mediocre at best. The features could be updated. Pros Basic functional x-ray capture software. The cloud feature as nice as it allows you to view images from any device, and outside of the office. Cons The functionalities are basic, and some features are not very accessible such as change contrast of the images. Customer support was severely lacking as well. Our clinical staff can pull images from any of our offices easily. Anything that can make the lives of our clinicians a little easier is a plus for me. Cons We truly didn't have any cons once our initial setup is complete. Reasons for choosing Apteryx XVWeb Used the on prem product in other practices before so the staff was familiar with the product. Being 100% cloud is a huge plus. This company is on the brink of closing. Don't "walk the Plank". Free Chinese software has more integrity than Apteryx. I bet they have pending litigation. Remember, when the cloud software is hacked and the feds are at your door, only the Doctor is responsible. Pros It is relatively simple, and basic. I really had nothing but problems with this product from the beginning. Cons The software is very basic and poorly supported. We had a network specialist design our office to integrate digital imaging and data storage. The sensors and software they provided could not be used with lap top computers, despite the parameters set by the technicians from apteryx. We ordered specifically what they called for. We are currently running it out of a desk top with usb extensions. Now they are "strong Arm" calling us, setting up sales meeting to transfer us to a cloud based system.
