### "Spend 1/100th what you do with other platforms."

November 23, 2023

5.0

Pros

Hero post is simple to set up, easy to use, integrates with everything i need it to and costs WAY less. It is a little bare-bones in its overall design compared to others. It is a great little workhorse of a set up with a one time fee. We hopped on these guys when they first started out.

Cons

Customer service is a bit slow in my experience but luckily i have not had much difficulty to warrant having to reach out often.

### "The lamest executed good idea ever!"

May 19, 2022

4.0

I was pretty happy to start with, but that did not last. I was indeed switching from Hootsuite, and I swiftly understood why it was cheaper (over time, because to start with, you really feel the one-time payment). I'm now considering switching back (to Hootsuite or Coschedule) even though theoretically, I should be covered forever with my lifetime subscription to Heropost.

Pros

It's a really cool concept: turning a SaaS-dominated business back into lifetime subscriptions. But the execution is simply too poor to make it a credible alternative to the tools it pretends to emulate/replace (Hootsuite, Coschedule...)

Cons

The user interface is horrible. Forget to tick a box and your message will disappear forever... Integrations with social networks tend to diminish with time as APIs get renewed and changed so that it ends up being really below average in terms of functionalities. Sure it's cheap! But for what it is, it is still expensive.

Alternatives considered

[Agorapulse](https://www.capterra.com/p/123971/Agorapulse/)[CoSchedule Marketing Suite](https://www.capterra.com/p/158290/CoSchedule/)

Reason for choosing Heropost

Again, the pricing was more attractive. As a one-off, Heropost is expensive, but if you expect to use it over some months, it quickly compensates for the downpayment. The problem is, that it doesn't deliver on the feature promise.

The pricing model of Heropost with a one-time payment made it attractive. In retrospect, it was a mistake.

### "Nightmare to Cancel!"

July 31, 2024

3.0

RUN! We advise others to explore more transparent and customer-friendly alternatives.

Pros

Rather basic in features, but does the job.

Cons

Canceling Heropost services has been a nightmare. Despite our attempts to cancel, we were billed for an additional 6 months after our initial cancellation request was seemingly ignored or mishandled. When we contacted customer service about the unexpected charge, they refused to issue a refund, citing a vague clause buried deep in their terms of service. It's incredibly frustrating to deal with a company that not only makes canceling difficult but also refuses to rectify charges made in error. We had no intention of using their service beyond our initial term and made our cancellation intentions clear well in advance. Heropost's handling of this situation reflects poorly on their customer service and business ethics. If you're considering using Heropost, be cautious. They appear to have a policy of continuing to charge customers even after cancellation attempts, leaving you with unexpected charges and little recourse. We regret our experience with them and advise others to explore more transparent and customer-friendly alternatives.

### "Heropost is a hero for the small business"

August 4, 2022

4.0

Heropost is a hero for small businesses that need to schedule posts in a quick, reliable fashion. It's ideal for 1 person to use.

Pros

It's simple to get started, easy to connect accounts, fast to create and schedule posts. I use this for 75 accounts.

Cons

When adding additional team members, there isn't an approval process. This makes it impossible to share with my team. The calendar of scheduled posts takes a while to load. If you are double checking someone elses work, it will take time.

Switched from

[Hootsuite](https://www.capterra.com/p/121701/HootSuite/)

The Hootsuite price tripled on me. I used the product since inception, then once the grandfathered-in price changed, there was no way we would be able to afford it. We didn't need half the features as they didn't provide value for the way we run our business.

### "Unfortunately LifeTime is a scam. Heropost is mostly very limited platform."

June 27, 2024

1.0

Slow and AI-based customer service, do not respond to contact by e-mail. Heropost regularly changes product features and pricing without informing their clients and ignoring their own T&C. Untrustworthy!

Pros

The promise of automated scheduling of social media posts.

Cons

The lie of paying for an "unlimited / lifetime" subscription for Heropost, only for those users to be "limited" in some functionalities (eg. can't use TikTok anymore) and "phased out" after a year because they have a new "Heropost" which they decided Lifetime doesn't apply to anymore.

Reason for choosing Heropost

The promise of unlimited access to Heropost features. Which after a year was in fact limited a lot and access to "Heropost" which has since been phased out into a new platform called "Heropost" which we don't have access to with the lifetime subscription.

### "Heropost is now a scam"

June 17, 2024

1.0

Bought in 2021, minimial to no emails for the following 2 years of any updates. Asked for new features and they said it's not possible (even though it was on other platforms). Had biolinks and their current partnership fell apart and they had to migrate so asked us to pay to use this new version. Now with their 2.0 platform they're asking to pay again to use the updated version. They are also screwing over early adopters by reducing our monthly posting to 50/mo and removing our access to ticktok, twitter/X, GMB, etc. even though those were available to us before. They always ask for more money and don't grandfather in early adopters like all other companies do who offer LTD when first launching. their original LTD offer: https://web.archive.org/web/20211129203847/https://www.heropost.io/on-sale/

Pros

It was a great starting platform offering an easy way to post to various social platforms.

Cons

Every update they do to the biolinks or heropost platform they want you to pay to use the update.

Reason for choosing Heropost

lifetime deal for a new software in the hopes it would grow and we could help build it up to a great platform.

Switched from

No announcments from heropost for 2 years and now in 2024 they somehow have a new platform but want us to pay to use it. and will demote our unlimited plan to 50 post per month.

### "Stay away from this company"

January 5, 2024

1.0

Horrible customer service, completely inadequate user interface, slow and bogs down, absolutely horrible pricing model, unethical company just honoring prior lifetime up sale. Stay away from this company

Pros

Offers a poor interface for scheduling with approximately 5 social media platforms. There is very little else that is good about this platform

Cons

Poor interface, poor performance, pricing model to to dishonor past promise of lifetime pricing and force upgrade monthly fee for less features. Stay away from this company

Switched from

Hero post offered lots of promises and a road map that they have never executed on in more than two years. Strangely, their new service they are attempting to force everyone to switch to offers the very same roadmap dash the very roadmap that they never executed on for 2 years previously

### "Beware 'Lifetime Login' That Isn't, Very Short Trial Period, Etc"

March 22, 2024

1.0

Until 2 months ago, I recommended it all the time. I know of at least three small businesses who were using it on my suggestion. Now, I'll shop around and I'll never recommend them again.

Pros

We're a small organization, less than 30 employees, but we do direct mail, texting, emailing, and social to connect with members of our non-profit. We didn't do much besides post on Heropost, and only on FB. But it was fast, it was cheap, and it worked.

Cons

They finally upgraded, but existing users are being told that their 'lifetime logins' won't apply to the 'new' product, which is essentially Heropost 2.0. Further, the site for the old Heropost is giving a 404 error for days on end, so it's looking more and more like we got shafted. With a 404 error, I can't exactly ask customer service if this is temporary, or the new deal we're getting. I thought I'd consider the new version, since I've been happy with this older one until this recent mess. They give you a 24 hour period to trial it...and you can't find the price until you're into that 24 hour trial. I hate that crap because they know that nobody can dedicate half a work day to trialing a new software THAT EXACT DAY that they sign up. Not impressed.

Switched from

[Hootsuite](https://www.capterra.com/p/121701/HootSuite/)

I switched because we weren't using as many features as Hootsuite had to make it worth the price. Most of our nonprofit's audience are older Americans, so social isn't their primary communication method.

### "Bait and Switch"

January 17, 2024

1.0

Pros

There are no pros, this company is a scam.

Cons

### "Bait & Switch"

June 17, 2024

2.0

In the beginning it was amazing! I used the platform on a daily basis. Now, they have kicked their loyal clients to the curb. I don't use it that much because I don't want to have to re-learn how to do everything. I also don't want to worry about how much I am posting. Lastly, they have not kept up with the social media landscape. Which means I cannot post on platforms that were critical to my business.

Pros

I liked that I could pay once and not worry about it again. I also liked the selection of platforms we could post on. However, both of those things have changed. Which is why Heropost is getting a low score.

Cons

I don't like that they offered a lifetime membership, then basically took it back. They stated that future updates were included, but then created a "new platform" that costs money. They are now forcing the lifetime members onto the new platform and are limiting what we can do, and charging for stuff we used to have included in our original plan. The company is treating those that were with them from the beginning very poorly. It is shameful.

### "Lifetime does not mean Lifetime to HeroPost"

January 4, 2024

3.0

Recently, I was notified of an upgrade to a new platform. There seems to have been no word about this from HeroPost before surprising me with a new 2024 offering. It seems HeroPost have been working on improving its service, which is what all businesses should do as a default setting. However, pushing your existing lifetime members into a new 'pay for lifetime again' plan (even at a discount), is really poor form in my opinion. What the hell does lifetime mean to them? Shut down an existing platform, deploy a new one, and claim that lifetime is connected to the platform? God help anyone when a website is rebuilt to make it current and fresh in that case! I have had nothing but problems trying to access the new platform. I can't see where I can set up a new lifetime account per their email. I'm forced into a monthly subscription. I've also got questions about the months of scheduling that has been done at my end with posts ready to go on the now legacy platform, and whether this is going to carry over to the new platform (if I can ever access it), or just \*poof\* disappear into the ether. @HeroPost, where should I send you the bill for the hours spent scheduling these? Misleading doesn't even begin to describe it! I'm now looking at other options

Pros

Affordability on lifetime promo for early supporters

Cons

The platform drops account connections pretty consistently. Reddit is a nightmare to schedule effective posts. Other platforms are ok.

### "SCAM COMPANY \*\*\*\* THEY DON'T RESPECT THEIR LIFETIME AGREEMENT"

June 17, 2024

2.0

They sold a lifetime access saying that the buyer will get all the new features as they come. They didn't add anything for years and now that they developed a new platform, they want lifetime users to pay again

Pros

Nothing, the platform is not usable. No sign of adding features in 2 years and now they want lifetime users to pay again for the new platform

Cons

Clunky UI, also no customer support and shady business practices

### "Apparently lifetime subscribers don't qualify for any upgraded enhanced future versions."

January 22, 2024

2.0

Not much else to say - there are WAAY better services like this out there for the same price and have been better for longer than heropost. If this is how they treat lifetime subscribers excusing us from the new release after putting up with their flaws for years, they're not worth the disappointment to come

Pros

The lifetime option and price of $197 avoiding one more subscription was seemingly worth it.

Cons

With the new release of a much-needed upgraded version, lifetime subscribers from the start are stuck on the old platform. It was cumbersome and kept me from actually looking forward to using it. Lifetime subscribers tolerated so many limitations and had to find workarounds and it's too bad we're ineligible for the latest version. I can upgrade for the cost that I've already paid but it's now a subscription that I wanted to avoid when I bought the lifetime subscription.

Reason for choosing Heropost

It had a $197 lifetime subscription and that was it.

### "Do not buy this service"

March 29, 2024

1.0

My overall experience was very poor. The platform does not operate as their landing page and tutorials suggest. Furthermore, I have not experienced such poor customer service in my life. I would strongly advice not purchasing this product now or in the future.

Pros

The idea on the landing page was the best thing that I liked the most about Heropost. It was a bait and switch. They are not able to do what their basic competitors are able to. Although they are cheaper, you sure get what you pay for. There was terrible customer service.

Cons

Terrible customer service combined with low functionality.
