You can also receive a Cash App card and have your check directly deposited onto that. You usually get paid up to 2 days before payday. Cons It is not backed by FDIC. I was denied getting my money back because they stole it 7 months ago and kept promising to get my merchandise. I sent them the proof but they didn’t even look at it the first time they just denied it. They denied the appeal and I am going to get my money back through the government and prosecution of these people because this app doesn’t protect your money. Pros First of all, I have never had any money stolen by someone by not providing the merchandise, and being under federal prosecution, but Cash App denied my dispute. Apparently, they don’t provide protection like a bank does so don’t forget that! Cons It seemed convenient for a long time but no protection is no protection. I think something has changed with Cash App because it appears they are not customer focused anymore and just greedy. I have never had a problem with cashapp but it does take a a few more steps when orchestrating a transaction. There's been a few times I have forgot exactly how to check my balance & "transfer out" as I don't utilize this software every day. However this wouldn't even be considerate a problem because it's good to exercise your brain a little bit! Pros I like that transferring money to your bank is instant & the fee is minimal. I like having the option to have both a physical card as well as virtual, by adding to my wallet on my phone. There's times I only have my phone to make purchases but there's other times using my phone is not an option, for example when it needs charged or I'm at Walmart, who doesn't accept Apple Pay or Wallet as of yet. Cons I personally have had very few issues with cashapp, however the people I seem to to pay or receive payments from the most, generally prefer another payment over cashapp. It's unclear exactly why the majority of my family & friends seem to choose a different platform for sending & receiving payments but from my experience there is one software program that is to very simple & easier to navigate.
