" February 11, 2026 5.0 Cash App has been my go-to for years—sends money in seconds to my friends or clients without any worries, with handy investing and tax tools. Super low learning curve and solid value for everyday use. Recommend for casual users too. Pros Lightning-fast money transfers, perfect for personal and business use. Easy QR code scanning and account linking with no hassle. Cash Card offers boosts and no-fee basics. It's easy to use so very little learning curve and the fees are low. Payments get processed quickly and the fraud prevention is advanced and I feel secure using it. Cons Customer support is tough to reach, delays on issues are a bit longer than I'd like. I don't much care for the extra fees with the quick deposits. February 10, 2026 5.0 My overall experience with Cash App has been a very positive one. Compared to other apps and programs that are similar in nature I feel Cash App is the easiest and quickest. Pros Cash App is a very convenient and easy-to-use product and application. The app is very user-friendly and intuitive. Cons The thing I like least about Cash App is the fees they charge to transfer and withdrawal funds. I feel like the percentage Cash App takes from each transaction could be much lower. Software Reviewer For Capterra Writing and Editing Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Digital Cash - Suspended Crash" June 6, 2025 4.0 I like cash app for birthday money from friends and other's or sometimes to buy stock inside of the app. Cash app is not a very good tool however when sending high amounts too many times can lead to suspicious or flagged status and causes full suspension of account when all the payments are legal tender for work needed and work being done which causes a distress in the ability to handle finances for permanent deletion. :-( I'm not sure how safe sending 6 or 7 digits worth of money or receiving 6 or 7 less is worth it when using cash app without getting flagged for suspension. Deleted accounts where you can't make a new cash app account making a long road to even re-sign up for the account for the cash app in the last place! Pros I actually like Cash App a lot because of the ease of ability to send funds digitally without using real cash, and also sending payments makes it easier to transfer money without needing to travel and meet together to pay for service provided or items for sale! Cons I loved using cash app instead of going inside a bank to make a withdraw but the only downside is the cash app can suspend your account sometimes for too many payments sent and/or high amount of money being sent! " December 12, 2025 4.0 I feel like my experience with Cash App is neutral it’s a good app I’ve only used it a handful of times and have had no issues processing a payment or transferring funds to bank. It was a quick an easy set up and the app itself is user friendly. Pros Cash App is great now that cash itself is something most people do not carry. I have had a great experience with is overall. The app it self I’ve never had any issues with loading. The app itself is free and creates a great want to process payments, I have had to reach out to customer service when switching bank accounts since my bank was closed due to fraud and they were extremely helpful. Cons I prefer to use other money apps since I can see photos of the person I’m sending money rather then a usernames. Pros What I like most about Cash App is the convenience of being able to move money even without a bank account. Cons What I like least about Cash App is the lack of security measures it enforces, however this has greatly improved with having to option to lock your card until you are ready to use or move money. " February 15, 2026 5.0 Overall I have a good relationship with Cash App. There are times that other software could be better but Cash App also has an option to borrow now so that makes it even better. Pros what I like most about cash app is the versatility that it gives you when paying for the items you need in person and online. Cons What I like least about Cash App would have to be the returns and refunds. They are not timely with fraud either. It was through Facebook (lesson learned). Other than that, except for the one dollar issue that I like least, I have been satisfied and happy Pros I love that it is an excellent alternative and addition to my regular credit union and bank. it has a very easy to use interface. I like that i can connect most of my financial accounts to it. I like that I can send money for free to friends and family and for purchases. I like that it is now being integrated as a payment solution through many payment interfaces Cons I don't like their customer service. My boyfriend sent me a dollar to test and they flagged his account. They won't send him his dollar back and they won't let him send it to me. I had an account for approximately 3 months and did 3 transactions .. 1- I received money from my sister $75 and twice I sent my son $20 and they closed my account saying I violated there code of standards due to suspicious activity .. what activity.. 3 transactions .. no more than 75 dollars really .. that is what they said and there is nothing I can do to defend myself or clear up their mistake .. I was told there is no further explanation I am sorry thank you and have a nice day .. so you know what other bank "everyone" has .. Chime and you know who opened an account with no hassle no problems and in under 4 minutes .. yes me Pros Everyone is using it .. everyone has a cash app account, or almost everyone and it's widely accepted, easy to setup your account, versatile from sending to receiving money, paying bills, transferring funds from pier to pier, and loads of in network ATM's .. never had an issue finding a ATM Cons When you have an issue and Cash App cannot resolve it or doesn't know how to resolve it their employees are quick to say things like "I am sorry but there seems to be no further explanation given to resolve the issue, is there anything else I can do.. yes ..solve my issue would be a start cash app Review Source KM Kristen M. Seems like everybody in the company wasn't on the same page. I could call and talk to different dispatchers and I got a different story from each one. That kind of got me really mistrusting that company Pros You know when cash app first came out I did not get a account and not long after that I believe somebody hacked into their system and stole $8 million dollars. So I really never thought it was safe I did however go ahead and get one as time progressed and most of the people I knew had one problem was is I'm a psychic medium and I have people send multiple amounts of money different amounts and they would shut my account down sometimes with the money still in it where I couldn't get to it. Cons The least thing I liked about cash up was their policy. It was hard to have a business account especially on the line of work that I am in. I have never had a problem with cashapp but it does take a a few more steps when orchestrating a transaction. There's been a few times I have forgot exactly how to check my balance & "transfer out" as I don't utilize this software every day. However this wouldn't even be considerate a problem because it's good to exercise your brain a little bit! Pros I like that transferring money to your bank is instant & the fee is minimal. I like having the option to have both a physical card as well as virtual, by adding to my wallet on my phone. There's times I only have my phone to make purchases but there's other times using my phone is not an option, for example when it needs charged or I'm at Walmart, who doesn't accept Apple Pay or Wallet as of yet. Cons I personally have had very few issues with cashapp, however the people I seem to to pay or receive payments from the most, generally prefer another payment over cashapp. It's unclear exactly why the majority of my family & friends seem to choose a different platform for sending & receiving payments but from my experience there is one software program that is to very simple & easier to navigate. To this day, I still don’t know what I did wrong, and despite repeated efforts, I haven’t been able to get anyone to explain what happened or offer a way to resolve the issue. sunce July, 2020, I have relied on Square Payments and scheduling to help run my successful business. I’ve always taken pride in maintaining high standards and following all rules to protect my livelihood and reputation. It’s baffling and disheartening to be treated as if I violated policies without ever being told what I did wrong. Even now, my business continues to thrive, but this unresolved situation with Square is a stain on an otherwise positive journey. It’s not just frustrating—it’s angering—to feel shut out and dismissed by a company I trusted and worked with for so long. I understand the need for companies like Square to enforce policies and uphold high standards, but I also believe users like me deserve transparency and a chance to address issues. Closing accounts permanently without explanation or opportunity for appeal is not only unfair but also leaves loyal customers feeling abandoned. I hope Square reevaluates how it handles situations like this, because no one who values their business and plays by the rules should be left in the dark like I have been. Pros Money transfer feature is quick and easy. Cons Beware - they're pro merchant, your money is not safe! I trusted cash app with my money & twice they allowed my money to be compromised. A fake Macy's website was allowed to keep $94 for items they never shipped, despite my repeated reports that I never received the items & the tracking numbers were fake. I was told the dispute decision was final, stop pursuing it. Now, my card was locked and a merchant still took money my family desperately needed, cash app said sorry, that's allowed. Bottom line, locking your card does NOT protect your money and even when merchants clearly commit fraud, cash app let's them keep your money. This is the response from their customer support manager: 'Thank you for bringing this case to my attention. Merchants can process a payment even if you don’t have enough funds in your balance or the card was locked. This typically happens when a merchant authorizes your card for a smaller amount than the final total. I know how inconvenient this is, I've also experienced a similar situation to this. I want to ensure you I am an advocate for you, and we're working our hardest to improve the overall customer experience.'
