Easy-to-use software Pros Love the ease of payments and receiving with ultra low cost to no cost to conduct transactions Cons It used to take quite a while for refunds to be processed and I've had to reach out in the past but they have seemed to update and do much better lately. I have found Cash App to be more secure and protected over other similar applications. Pros My favorite aspect of Cash App is the ability to transfer money to friends from my bank account. I also like the option to create a savings account through Cash App. Cons My least favorite aspect of Cash App is that reward points (stars) expire after a certain period of time. Purchasing Bitcoin and sending it to a external wallet is also a unique function that I haven’t seen on any other banking application. Pros I love that I have investment options including crypto. Loading cash onto the card is smooth and offers various methods to do so. Customization of the card is nice as well. Cons I know friends who have been hacked, it’s not my experience though. I loved getting paid early that was the best thing ever!! Pros I like that it’s easy to find cash tags. A great perk they just added on is giving you an advance until you get paid! Also when you use cashapp as direct deposit you get paid 2-3 days early !!! The app accepted the funds from my bank account, but when I attempted to send it to the recipient, the transaction was declined. I received an error message stating it was declined for my protection and that verification was required. After calling to verify my identity, I was informed that someone would contact me via email. For several days, I checked the status, but the responses were brief, and I was repeatedly told to wait for an email. Since I needed to pay the bill urgently, I asked my brother to send the money to my other Cash App account, but the same issue occurred again. I have reached out to Cash App multiple times to clarify why my account wasn’t flagged when I initially deposited the money. Shouldn’t it have been rejected then as well? Despite completing the verification process over the phone, my funds are still being held. I requested a refund back to the original account, but they informed me it’s illegal to withhold someone’s money without a lien or court order once they have verified their identity. Now, on September 18, I still have not received my money. I do not recommend using Cash App; it’s wiser to opt for a well-established bank, as your funds could be at risk of being stolen or held for no valid reason.
