I use it to create landing pages for opt ins as well. Pros Super easy to use for someone who knows how they want a website to look but doesn't understand or want to learn coding. I love the drag and drop design feature for this software. I like that I can easily add HTML code for just about any widget that I want. Cons I wish the software had more free integrations. It gets frustrating to try to add a widget or design element only to find out it will cost me monthly to add it. I have had a difficult time getting my website to be optimized for a phone screen. I can't recommend Weebly to anyone because I know for a fact there are better options out there. Weebly has always been sooo close to being a great platform, but they've never quite pulled it all together. Pros It is great for someone looking to build a basic website without requiring any knowledge of coding. Cons I don't like that Weebly is so expensive for very few features. The downloadable Apps are often slow, don't work at all, frequently need to be updated, or slow down your website's speed. There are not many preset themes to choose from and you're limited to what you can customize. Customer service is good, but I've had to contact them way too many times over the years – some of which the issues could not be resolved or they didn't know how to fix. Also, this only happened once, but one day I logged in to check on a website that I had been managing for months and all of its content was just gone?!? Customer support had no way of retrieving the lost content and had no explanation of why it happened. That was hours and hours of hard work gone, just like that. Review Source BK Binyamin K. I believe that says a lot! Pros When it comes to Weebly, what's not to love. Yes its limited, but that's not the point. The point about Weebly is that its super easy. Obviously if you need something robust, even mildly robust, Weebly isn't for you. But if all you need is an easy straight forward and affordable, Weebly is just that. When I need to create a website that is feature rich I go to Site123 or Shopify, but if all I want is to show my portfolio (and maybe make a few sales) and/or to show my ideas, to have a platform with which to communicate to the online world, its really hard to beat Weebly. Cons My greatest regret when it comes to Weebly is that, being as restrictive as it is, when I need to create multi-lingual sites, that look avaunt-guard and cutting edge, I'm forced to look elsewhere. Being that I so like Weebly, I wish that wouldn't be the case. Pros Easy to use. Customer support is patient and helpful. Reasonably quick to respond most of the time. The controls are intuitive. It integrates easily with Infusionsoft and MailChimp systems. October 14, 2018 5.0 I use Weebly for my students and they enjoy checking out the resources I gather there. I was skeptical about the ease of use at the beginning, but I found out quickly that I can make big or small changes easily and it's not difficult. This is my 3rd year using Weebly for my website and the price is reasonable. Pros I have a website to store/gather all sorts of resources for my students. I pay an annual subscription that is VERY reasonably priced to keep the site running. The functionality has improved a lot since the early days of site-building. (I used another site years ago and then I found Weebly!) It's easy to edit the site term to term or even week to week or day to day for my students. I can add pages, images, links, etc. in no time! The site is easy to navigate. I have had a subscription for over two years and I love it! Cons I don't think there is anything that is 'negative' since any issues have been because of "user challenges" (meaning my own limitations!) Pros Honestly I have not had any good experiences with this web platform nearly at all and actually only liked that this software got me a job migrating a company's website to wordpress. Cons Its complete lack of functionality and poor customer support for a specific website I came on to debug implied its obsolecence in this particular project, however that does not speak for the entirety of the platform at all and it might still be of benefit to everyone that uses it and may have just been a code or infrastructure problem on our end. It is very useful, because you are not only creating websites, you can also create platforms for sharing. All the characteristics of this software make it one of the most used. I have designed websites and online stores with Weebly. Pros I love it, it is one of the applications to make websites that I use the most, I can create websites with just click and drag in a simple way, it has many beautiful templates to choose from, plus they are convenient. Weebly makes it easy to set up and structure your blog or website in a couple of minutes. It also classifies documents for easy access. Cons On a few occasions I have had credential errors, some errors can cause errors to be seen on the website. Pros First and foremost, it is amazingly incredible how easy Weebly is to use. So easy, that when I connect my students, they are also able to use it! The moment I discovered I could create accounts for my students I was overjoyed, as this makes their work more interesting to complete. It offers a few free resources that you can include in your website, and has even brought me business! Cons My least favorite, and what I feel is lacking, feature is the limited number of accounts I can create for students. I teach a large number, and so it becomes a game of "Who is interested in doing this?" Because of this, I can't set up their accounts ahead of time. I have used Weebly a lot and everything I create comes out looking very professional. Pros Everything. This is usually one of the most used website builders I recommend and students use for assignments that require a some form of website or blog. There are templates already curated for you by Weebly, taking a lot of the guesswork out for students. And regardless of which template you choose, there is a lot of editing that you are capable of doing to the site to make it yours. The drag and drop editor really make sit easy, especially for students who are often on a time crunch, and can't take forever to learn HOW to use the tool, but rather, what to put on it. So Weebly really help them create professional looking websites quickly. Cons One of the biggest issues I have come across is if you make an error, going back to undo it is a hassle. I use a different supplier for my domains and weebly is easy to connect to the domain through the DNS using the information provided Pros I started with weebly as my first 'proper' host and the package I have allows me to host a number of sites for a fixed fee I use the blog feature on my main site and the searchable and tag features make it really easy for users of my blog to find things. Pros Weebly I like it a lot mainly because it is a tool for designing web pages that is really easy to use, because in its interface you can see templates organized in different sectors and although not many are offered, they are of quality and they are organized so that it is much more simple to handle the search of the one that is considered appropriate to represent the website that you want to design, on the other hand it is magnificent that provides the power to visualize in advance how the website could be seen with the different templates, besides this tool saves the tedious work of having to look for the page to adapt to different devices because in an automated way the pages are optimized so that when visualizing in said devices they do not see in an inadequate way. Pros Weebly allows you to make professional looking websites without having any/much background in html. It does help if you do know html as there is an option to customize the webpages if you know how to do it. But even without it, there so many sleek and professional looking templates to chose from. The site is set up so you can create your webpage intuitively without much instruction (click and drag options you want, and you can easily change colors and fonts). It almost feels like a cut/paste paint program but you end up with a functional website. Makes great webpages for small businesses as there are options for payment and ordering. It even provides you with visitor stats, purchases, website traffic - all super useful to monitor your business with. Cons A lot of the amazing "extra" features Weebly provides are included in the subscription service which costs money. There is a free version of it but is more limited with what it can do. Once you learn how Weebly wants you to do things, you can create new pages full of content within minutes. Pros Fairly easy to use web interface, doesn't take much to make great looking websites. Drag and drop interface. Can have multiple editors for a site and easily control their access by page. Site never seems to go down. Cons I wish there was a better way to handle photo galleries. Adding custom HTML is not very easily accomplished. Non-education pricing is a bit expensive if you want to use your own domain name. November 3, 2020 5.0 When starting my business, I was looking at different website creation tools. On Weebly's first page, I saw a template that I liked and, since I didn't want to go down the rabbit hole of choosing from thousands of templates, I went with Weebly. I also liked that you can port your website to another platform if you want to leave Weebly. But after 5 years, I'm still with Weebly. I'm not a tech genius, but I can make changes to the site myself and it doesn't take much time to figure out what I need to do to make the site look the way I want. Seriously, after signing on with Weebly, I had a basic site up and running in one hour! Pros I love that Weebly is easy to use and doesn't confuse me with a million different options. Cons Mailchimp doesn't integrate well with Weebly, so this can cause some issues. There are limitations with popups and forms, so that can be a bit of an issue, but I've made it work. I would recommend starting with a list of what you need from software, then what you would like then a nice to have list. See how many ticks this software gets. Compare it to at least two pieces of other software of the same nature before making your final decision. This is what I recommend for any piece of software. Also, check out their own forms of customer support, and social media sites to see what other customers have had to say about the software. Pros If you have seen this software before and didn't like it, I would absolutely recommend giving it a second go/visit. It has come a long way from its somewhat clunky beginnings (in my opinon). The pro's of Weebly are the variety of tools and templates available to make your website look like it's truly custom made from a much more high end piece of software. Dynamic design elements and custom fonts are just another bonus!
