I would recommend Weebly. Pros Weebly is a fairly easy to use website buidling platform with easily customisable templates. Aside from that I also liked the fact that its SEO settings for the free version are more customisable than some of their competitors like wordpress, making the Weebly free version more findable by such engines hence it is more customisable for digital marketing. It was fairly simple integrating Weebly into our business process. Cons The only thing I did not like about the software is that it can be slow while in editor mode. Pros I like the ease of use and flexibility of the templates to make the sites my own. I have made many FREE sites and upgraded them as needed. I have made blog sites with my own custom web URL and love working and updating when I get the chance. I have done an eCommerce site as well and it's easy to set up too. Links are very easy to add as well as FREE photos and others that you can pay a small price for. It's got everything under the hood for sure! I used to use the Apple product to make my sites, but Weebly took over for me since that time! Love the new promotion page stuff too! Lots of room for growth and updating! Thanks Weebly! I wish I could have continued using it because of that, but I couldn’t afford to continue. Pros When I first started using Weebly, it was acquired by Square. It synced products, worked well with Facebook and Instagram and was super easy to use. Cons Over time, features changed, integration lacked and syncing went away without notice. It will be interesting to see how it continues to develop as I suspect the changing competition and e-commerce focus might actually move it away from being the best fit for us. However at the moment it manages to do enough of what we want it to do, without doing too much of what we don't. It' s a well balanced product. Pros We use Weebly in a slightly novel context. It's used to present a research project so our students need to get involved in understanding a topic but then need to put some thought into presenting it on a modern medium. In this context, weebly is fantastic. It's simple to do very basic things in and students tend to pick it up very quickly. For us the fact that they needn't have a decent understanding of web site design before diving in is the best thing about Weebly is that students are more limited in what they can do, so they can create their sites without going to far astray. Cons Personally I find the lack of templates and features in comparison to Wix or Squarespace a bit limiting but the feature we tend to find students miss the most is extensive version saves of sites that other builders offer. Not a big deal but occasionally it is possible to mess up a site so badly that fixing it becomes a tutor's job rather than an expectation we can lay on the student. Reason for choosing Weebly The UI fit where we wanted to deploy it better, the more streamlined starting options were also a benefit along with the slightly more structured drag and drop design. Had to move away when I need a more robust solution for managing more contents. Pros I have been using Weebly for 8 years before I move to Wordpress. Weebly is very easy to use. Its template library is expanding. It has apps store where you can find third party add-ons to install on your website. I run a membership website (using Sentry Login) and I was able to set up gated contents using only the third-party add-ons. SEO is fine. I was able to rank my website fine (getting about 30000 unique visitors a month). If you are looking for a cheap solution to run a website. Weebly is a great option. Cons The web builder does not allow scalability. When you have more contents, managing it is a nightmare. The website is also slow especially when you add more add-ons. It is extremely difficult to build any custom solution. When you are an expanding online business, Weebly is probably not the best option. The customer service is inconsistent. Over my eight years of experience with Weebly, I had encountered two major issues caused by developers making changes to the system without any notice. The second time was so bad that I decided to move away from the platform. Use of an advanced tool to use, with the option to enable and share applications, videos and services with a professional development platform to develop a website. No technical skills are needed. It can be very useful for educational work that offers the possibility of creating web pages where you can include all types of multimedia content. Domain hosting is free, but you also have the option to join a simpler domain for the client in the paid version. And for users with advanced knowledge allows you to modify the CSS and HTML design to fit your needs. Cons Weebly free has some limited functionalities, and features that would improve this site include but are not limited to enabling keywords for blog posts and a search function. In our office we usually work with this system very often, especially when we urgently need a web page, on the other hand in our home my family has been greatly benefited in their daily and educational activities. Pros Weebly allows the particularity of allowing to change templates, this feature is very important since sometimes we have had doubts or we have decided to make certain modifications in our web pages, and we have even been able to make the changes after being published. More interesting features are also locked behind paid 'widgets' that are sometimes not updated or function poorly. Even a simple feature like a 'scroll to top' button requires an extra widget purchase even though its only a couple lines of code. Cons Least favorite part is lack with integration with third parties and plug-ins but the worst by far is support which has to be one of the most difficult, lack of knowledge and least responsive we have ever dealt with. I occasionally need a micro-site for an event or a specific campaign, or I'll need a short term blog. I turn to weebly because it's fast and easy for me to build and align with our main website. I've developed a few sites that are now moderated and updated by faculty--non-techy folks who are not intimidated by the interface. So Weebly becomes a time-saver for me! Pros Ease of use! The drag and drop interface makes creating webpages flow easily from a sketch to online reality. I use the blogging features the most. By limiting some of the layout possibilities, Weebly ensures your site will look professional. With the ability to add html segments, I find I can easily mount a rather complex site in a relatively short amount of time. Cons Although I see it as a plus now, I was a bit frustrated by the limitations on exact spacing and layout. Sometimes I wish I could move an element just a few pixels! Generally this is minor. I love the ability to create forms and make a professional website for a good price. It shows the statistics of your page as well. Pros When I first started my photography business, I looked and did free trials for at least 5 different website hosts. Weebly is the one that stuck with me the most because it was very user-friendly. I like that you have options of a template but you can also customize each page and use your creativity. Many of the other sites were very hard to navigate and add things to each page. With Weebly, they have visuals and content blocks that you can move around. The price is VERY reasonable compared to other sites where you are paying $50/month on keeping your website up. For my first website, I couldn't be happier with the quality and the price. Cons I enjoy many things about Weebly but a few things I would change is that I wish I had the ability to customize a mobile-friendly view. I like how my site looks on a browser but not as much on the mobile phone. With Weebly, you have to choose a "theme" for your page, you can do custom as well, but it does not let you pick your theme colors, therefore on some areas on your site, can only be certain colors and certain fonts. It has a large number of templates and predefined elements to insert in our designs. Cons It allows to create web pages by people without knowledge in programming of web sites, therefore only elements of predefined designs can be used. If more specifications are needed in a design then it would be necessary to use another tool where the design can be programmed in a particular way.
