### "Weebly is Great Setting Up Your Own Professional Looking Website"

September 3, 2024

5.0

I used Weebly to set up a small business website as an alternative/ supplement to my online handmade shop using another popular platform which had a lot of fees associated with it.

Pros

I like that Weebly is a step by step process that is easy to use and understand to set up my small business website. There are many themes to choose from.

Cons

There is a little difficulty switching back and forth to the mobile application.

### "Easy Website Platform"

August 28, 2024

Overall experience with Weebly has been good. I've been using Weebly for several website over a number of years and it has satisfied my needs.

Pros

Weebly is a effective platform for building and managing a website without web development knowledge or experience. The system is simple to use and the learning curve is not onerous.

Cons

While Weebly offers numerous plug-ins to enhance website, the features of the plug-ins tend to be limited particularly for editing.

### "Easy to use "

August 20, 2024

5.0

Overall, my experience with Weebly has been really positive. It’s made building and managing my website so much easier than I expected. While there are a few things I wish had more flexibility, I’m really happy with how my site turned out and how smoothly everything runs. It’s been a great tool for my business.

Pros

What I liked most about Weebly is how easy it made everything. I'm not a tech expert, but I was able to build and customize my website without feeling overwhelmed. Updating content is a breeze, and I love the range of design options they offer. It just made the whole process smooth and stress-free.

Cons

What I liked least about Weebly is that sometimes the customization options felt a bit limited when I wanted to get really specific with my design. It would be nice to have a bit more flexibility in tweaking things exactly how I want them. But overall, it still got the job done well.

Except for the last year with Square getting involved Outstanding

Pros

Ease of creation and then selecting administrators to manage specific sections

Cons

Square bought them and has really made it much harder to access my sites. Square needs to understand they process payments. Weebly creates websites. The only time they need each other is if there are products to sell or donations to collect Dear Squsre. Leave Weebly alone please

I had a positive experience with Weebly and would recommend it for those who are just starting out to have an online presence.

Pricey. Few themes only. Domain registration also pricey.

Love it. I am so happy that they have an app that I was able to install from the Apple Store.

Pros

Being able to run my website from my iPad is HUGE! Such an easy program to use with Square. They knocked this out of the park.

Cons

I have not ran into anything that I do not like yet. I have been using the app for about a month at the time of this review.

We used it for years, mainly due to the time cost of switching, but found other platforms we used more smooth, elegant, and better looking design.

Pros

### "Overall good for beginners "

August 8, 2024

4.0

It is not as much good as other website builders. Other websites builders provide you full control and variety of customization options but weebly doesn’t. If you are a beginner, you can opt for weebly for learning.

Pros

it's a very good platform for users to build websites easily providing free to paid plans. Best for the beginners who don’t know coding or find coding difficult.

Cons

It has limited phone support and very few customization options for website building. Ads are another drawback that comes with free plan unless you upgrade to a paid plan.

### "One of the best user-friendly sitebuilders on the web"

May 10, 2023

5.0

Weebly is by far the best website editor I've used since I started having interest in owning a website. The editor is very user friendly and its quite easy to set up multiple webpages; although the hyperlink has a .weebly.com tag in it, Weebly can be a great start if you're looking to build a website and don't know too much HTML and coding; highly recommend! There are a couple things that may need changing though. There's a lot of white space in the side margins of the website, and this may differ depending on the monitors used; despite how much content you may have on that webpage, everything on the website is centered to the middle of the page (it would be nice to edit the side margins to remove that white space.Another thing with enabling a custom domain, and enabling SSL security for it, is that the tutorial I feel is slightly outdated; ended up contacting GoDaddy support to find out how to set it up as the tutorial for it on Weebly didn't help much.It would also be nice to edit the mobile version of the website as the difference between the desktop version and mobile is crazy; its very squished and images for some reason appear enlarged compared to the desktop version. It doesn't look very appealing on mobile. My final note is that its quite expensive to enable all features of the website. It's not too bad to remove Weebly's ads and enable a custom domain with GoDaddy (or another similar provider), but again, make sure you're able to afford the upgrade

Pros

\> Easy to use> Updates new changes quickly on the website> Multiple available apps to integrate, and easy to apply or remove from the editor> Customer support is reliable> No limitations to how much content you can have on the website> Settings easy to configure> Multiple options to set up custom domains> Multiple theme options to choose from (although more options/layouts could be better)> Ability to change defaults for fonts, font colour, style and size in theme options> Easy to "clean up" the website to look appealing

Cons

\> Expensive to unlock all features for the site (including ecommerce, removing Weebly's ads, custom domain, etc.)> A lot of white space on the side margins of the editor, especially if the website is slightly zoomed out.> Setting up a custom domain using GoDaddy or another provider is a slightly tedious process to finish - with another owned website and domain, it took around 3-4 days to enable SSL security.> You're not able to edit the mobile version of the website

### "Weebly is user friendly and cost effective if you need a web page set up quickly!"

January 27, 2022

5.0

I have not had to contact Weebly support at all, so that is a positive in my book! Many times when I start out with a new software program or web program, there is a lot of communication between myself and the company support team in order to get things how I need them. This was so user-friendly that my son set up a free personal page for a class in just a single day. As a tech coordinator, this was very easy for me to set up, and our admin assistant was able to learn to add & edit content very quickly.

Pros

I like that there are many themes to choose from to customize your site on Weebly, and the interface is user friendly. You can switch back and forth from a screen that looks like a word processor (for selecting bold, italics, font size, color, etc.) OR you can switch to the coding language of HTML if you want further customizations. I have gotten along great without needing to switch to HTML, but it is nice to know I have the option. There is a nice variety of templates to choose from, and you can control who can view your page. For our organization, we only wanted our staff to have access to personnel forms, so we set this up with a password. Very easy to select that option if you need a private site.

Cons

At first it was confusing that I had to make two payments every few years. Then I realized that one payment is for Weebly to secure your preferred domain name (if it is available) and they register it for you. I have that part set up to renew every five years. The second payment is an annual subscription fee for using the Weebly software interface and all the features that comes along with that including a nice selection of themes.

Reason for choosing Weebly

Nice templates and user-friendly, low cost, very little training required, if any.

### "Weekly is my absolute favorite!"

June 30, 2022

5.0

This is my absolute favorite blog site! Other sites like blogger are super difficult to use, but with weekly you don’t have to know much about editing as they provide the tools for you! Plus side is that you don’t really have to be premium, I use the free version and my storytelling needs were met.

Pros

Beginner friendly Lots of free templates No purchase necessary you get most features free! Easy to edit and customize

Cons

Getting in contact with customer support is tricky Recovering lost account was nearly impossible

Reason for choosing Weebly

Did not look at others bought weekly Immediately.

### "Excellent for the price"

September 20, 2023

5.0

I was able to take my web project from idea to publication in just a few days thanks to the powerful tools included in the free plan. I was then able to easily scale by upgrading my site with more pages, advanced eCommerce features, and a custom domain by upgrading to a paid plan. The support and documentation were also excellent in resolving any issues or concerns. I would definitely recommend Weebly to any person or organization looking for a low-cost and efficient website building solution

Pros

What I liked most about Weebly was its powerful drag-and-drop visual builder. It allowed me to easily create a complex site structure with multiple pages and sections using just my mouse. Its clean and well-organized interface made the design process highly intuitive. Additionally, the numerous Responsive themes and templates helped me quickly bring my ideas to life and ensure my site looks and works well from any device

Cons

What I liked least was the limited code customization. Although the visual editor covers most needs, experienced web developers miss the ability to inject custom HTML, CSS, and JavaScript code to create completely unique designs. However, I understand that this goes against Weebly's no-code approach to allowing anyone to create a professional website

### "Great for beginners, business owners, or hobbyists"

August 1, 2022

5.0

Pros

The software is very easy to use. I literally built Weebly websites when I was about 10 years old, before I knew a lick of HTML. I've since used it to build several unused sites and a couple of active ones. I have one up now that's for a liquor store my parents own, and since they didn't need anything fancy they were able to save hundreds if not thousands on making their website by simply having me do it easily on Weebly.

Cons

I would recommend sticking with Weebly as your webhosting service if you're going to build the site here because they really don't make it easy to integrate with a separate web hosting service. I also question the dynamic capabilities of Weebly's site builder without usage of manual JS code. I haven't looked much into the paid plug-ins, though, so if that's what people are using then it may be possible.

Reason for choosing Weebly

Wix, like I said didn't fit my quality standards the first time I tried it. For several uses I paid for weebly on, an online store or e-commerce site was not required, so shopify didn't make a lot of sense for them. We have also used Squarespace and felt it was of similar quality, albeit somewhat more complicated to use. We have also used Shopify if and when an online store was what we sought. For simply built static pages, I feel Weebly is the best option followed by Squarespace.

### "A good affordable and quick to set up web-builder"

April 9, 2022

3.0

Weebly got us started in no time, and our web presence was almost immediate. Their service was very affordable and, as a small school, it was more than welcome. We received compliments from the community for the quality of our school website.

Pros

Weebly allows you to quickly be present on the web thanks to its -although limited- templates, and ease of use. You can customize your website to your liking and navigate through the SEO quite easily. I liked the fact that you can add contributors with limited control. We had to resort to contacting the support team, and they always answered in a timely and efficient manner.

Cons

There are fewer templates than in WIX, which is essential as I didn't want to spend too much time customizing the website. Starting with something closer to what we wanted was a priority.

### "Webmasters beware"

June 2, 2022

I've built multiple websites for clients as well as my own and I've never been disappointed that the quality reaches the maximum for each goal the client wants to achieve.

Pros

The website offers dummy proof controls to build a website that helps a client launch and stay in budget for where they want to go with their business.

Cons

There's a lot of limitations in branding, and scalability with product integrations.

### "It is easy and cheap and you can get a website up quickly"

December 24, 2021

4.0

Overall I have been a loyal customer with now 3 websites for probably 10 years. I like them better than Go Daddy, well at least from 10 years ago. I think the Square addition should be a little less imposing, I know it is their company and I use them as my credit card processing and POS and the integration is cool but Weebly I think should be about the website first. It a quick way to get a website with a domain up and minimal knowledge cheap though so overall I do like the product.

Pros

I like how you do not have to know HTML and a whole bunch of other modern languages. It is quick and easy to launch a website and a trusted company that is not a scam which the internet is filled with. I like the shell overall and have 3 different websites with them.

Cons

When Square took over it made it much harder to navigate through the shell to build on the websites and it is not customizable enough for individual companies. Also I don't like how they try and force you into multiple expensive subscriptions such as (custom)@(your name.yourdomain) they want to try and make you think you have to pay google all this money and you do not. There are many things there where I feel like they should be honest and give you choices.

### "Weebly for Web-building Newbies and for Experienced Coders"

July 12, 2021

5.0

Overall, this is very good for what we need. As previously stated, there are a couple of glitchy features that don't work properly, but there is plenty of good to overrule those problematic areas.

Pros

As an experienced web developer, I was concerned that Weebly would be too generic for our needs and wouldn't allow us to build more detailed web pages in the cases where we would need them. But they proved me wrong. Weebly makes building and maintaining your site easy to do when it comes to the ho-hum aspects of web development, and then it lets you ramp things up when you need to with it's Embed Code feature. Overall, we are extremely pleased with Weebly. There are a few things that are glitchy or don't work reliably, but those items are minor compared to the overall skillset this software has.

Cons

The ability to create links to other web sites is glitchy. It doesn't work reliably and may take 2-3 tries before I can get it to work properly. The other feature that doesn't work is their Search component. It's supposed to allow users of our site to be able to search our entire side for keywords, but currently, this feature does not work. I've contacted customer support about it and they did not really give me a satisfactory response. They have no idea when or if that Search element will be fixed.
