Everything is super easy to understand and for it being my first time using opendock and to not have any issues was great.
We've used Opendock for over a year now with very good success. We've saved time and money and stabilized our receiving department employee scheduling.
Overall it is great and I like that most carriers are familiar with it.
I've never had trucks scheduled before so as a supervisor being able to plan labor and be proactive is a huge win.
Cons
Creating new docks - no instructions and no one to call when need help. Missing a way to see next appointments at glance.
It's a struggle to get some carriers to use the platform.
For example, we have Coyote who tries to kill us with scheduling six trailers in one day. We have had to cut down the schedules/dock doors to try to limit the carrier from scheduling so heavy.
Honestly, it is not on opendock at all, but carriers scheduling in wrong time slots or under wrong docks is my only con using the application currently.

Overall: I appreciate the notification feature, which helps keep everyone on the same page, ensuring that no appointments are missed. Overall, Opendock has streamlined our operations and made the entire scheduling process much smoother.
Pros: The best part is how Opendock centralizes everything into one dashboard, giving us a real-time view of appointments and allowing us to manage multiple locations without hassle. It also integrates well with our existing systems, saving us time and reducing manual entry errors.
Cons: Nothing I dislike so far, everything is so smooth.
"Great Experience"
Overall: It's great using on a daily basis and allows us to know what trucks are coming and all of the information needed.
Pros: Freedom of scheduling and it allows us know what trucks are inbound.
Cons: Nothing it suits us very well. we used a different scheduler in the past but this one works best for us.
"Not As Useful"
Overall: Meh! Could be better if the people who actually deal with the schedule, were the admins instead of the GM (wth??)
Pros: That I can see who schedules as well as schedule myself.
Cons: I was originally the Admin and then all of a sudden I can't make changes. The General Manager, who has absolutely nothing to do with the schedule or otherwise, is now the admin. Can't get it changed back. That is not a job under his title, that is mine. I can't make it effective for us to work with our schedule, so it's good, but more bad bcuz I can't help carriers or change the format of the schedule to what my facility needs.
"Pretty much the perfect dock scheduling system!"
Overall: I have been extremely satisfied with our implementation of Opendock for our company. There really isn't much more to say than I have already said, it has been a game changer for our department, almost as much as hiring more staff.
Pros: The ease of scheduling appointments for us and for outside carriers is perfect. I can even get some of my older, more computer illiterate customers to book with little issue. Being able to upload and save files for each appointment is great and had enabled my department to cut down on paper documents and waste less paper and toner, plus finding the documents is as easy as going back to the date or searching with a keyword.
Cons: The only con we have faced is with uploading documents. You have to upload everything at once and then you can't upload more without deleting what is there and reuploading everything. I was able to bring this up with Opendock and they said they plan to update this feature, so hopefully that will be coming in the near future.
"Good and bad"
Overall: Not bad. It allows tracking but there's to many hands that can Change at any time .
Pros: There are many tools in here that are valuable and the date that provided is amazing.
Cons: it allows to others to track as well and change times with out notice
