### "A good dock management and scheduling software with some flaws"

Opendock has significantly improved our visibility of inbound and outbound loads and helped in much better resource and manpower planning at our warehouses. While most of it's features are great, there is room for improvement which can make it an even better product. I recommend Opendock to anyone looking to organize their load planning and appointment scheduling tasks for warehouses.

Pros

Opendock lets you schedule appointments for warehouse pick-ups and drop-offs. I like that it notifies us of every milestone event that occurs in an appointment. That makes it much easier to track appointments in a sea of schedules.

Cons

The user interface is a bit janky. Once an appointment detail is updated, the page completely refreshes randomly, and it is impossible to find where you had last made an update. Also, it only allows updates to appointments 2 at a time. Then, you'll have to refresh the page to update again.

We were satisfied with Opendock. It worked as advertised and was overall easy to use.

Pros

Dispatchers can schedule appointments using our Opendock calendar.

Cons

Couldn't get run a good shipping report.

It wasn't a bad experience. Opendock just needs to add sections where you can add much needed information.

Pros

It was easy to maneuver around in. Learning how to use it was easy as well.

Cons

You couldn't capture actually loading times. It only captured the time of arrival and departure.

I have been extremely satisfied with our implementation of Opendock for our company. There really isn't much more to say than I have already said, it has been a game changer for our department, almost as much as hiring more staff.

Pros

The ease of scheduling appointments for us and for outside carriers is perfect. I can even get some of my older, more computer illiterate customers to book with little issue. Being able to upload and save files for each appointment is great and had enabled my department to cut down on paper documents and waste less paper and toner, plus finding the documents is as easy as going back to the date or searching with a keyword.

Cons

The only con we have faced is with uploading documents. You have to upload everything at once and then you can't upload more without deleting what is there and reuploading everything. I was able to bring this up with Opendock and they said they plan to update this feature, so hopefully that will be coming in the near future.

Pros

Freedom of scheduling and it allows us know what trucks are inbound.

Cons

Nothing it suits us very well. we used a different scheduler in the past but this one works best for us.

well my personal experience with opendock is amazing, is something new easy to use, easy learning and training

Pros

The most I like about opendock is we saving time because they automatic booking they own appointments and we keep our inventory correctly and update also is a team work because carrier contact us for a working in and we available to add to the schedule

Cons

Well the least I don't like about opendock is we don't receiving alerts for new appointments or when they reschedule also eather when they have something they want schedule on the last minute I think we need more support on this.

### "All inclusive scheduling platform"

Have been with Open Dock since 2018. The upgrades and new fearures complete an overall transparent scheduling system. No questions needed. From carrier booking to completion of inbound or outbound shipments, there is full audit history and reporting easily identifies problem areas. All inclusive system for a scheduling application.

Pros

System is user friendly and easy to navigate. Ease of booking on the carrier side along with warehouse side confirming and completing the appointments. Full visibility!

Cons

Our program would benefit from some features specific to our needs but not for most. Would like ability for some system adjustments we could do individually. All in good time as the rest of the program outweighs what we lack. And the fearure of an app would benefit carriers are warehouse dock personnel who are not always near a work station.

I love using Open Dock it's very manageable, easy to navigate, and extremely convenient. It makes the workflow smoother and more efficient.

Pros

The convenience of having each driver sign in and sign out while approving their loads streamlines the process by ensuring accurate tracking of work hours and load assignments. It simplifies accountability, reduces paperwork, and allows real-time updates, making operations more efficient and transparent for both drivers and management.

Cons

Sometimes, processing the load updates can take a while, requiring me to log out completely and log back in to refresh the system. This helps ensure the loads go through properly, even though it adds a bit of delay.

What I liked most about Opendock was its intuitive interface and real-time scheduling capabilities. It streamlined the appointment booking process, reduced wait times, and made it easy to manage dock availability across multiple locations. The visibility into carrier arrivals and departures was a huge plus for operational efficiency.

Cons

What I liked least was the system’s allowance for multiple appointments to be booked on continuous time slots without adequate buffer or overlap checks. This sometimes led to congestion and delays at the dock, especially during peak hours. Additionally, the lack of customization in notification settings and occasional performance lags could be improved.

Opendock has made work a lot easier to manage and organize the docks in the warehouse. We can actually see who has an appointment and who doesn't.

Pros

I like how you can manage your appointments with ease and include crucial information that will help check them in or have the driver check in themselves. Booking has also been easy for carrier to make. Learning the system is easily and simple. Does take some adjustment but after a couple days it's easy.

Cons

currently there isn't anything that i don't like about opendock. If i had to choose one thing to be picky about is the yard management don't come included but that's understandable.

Overall it has been a very positive experience and this tool is helping us to elevate our logistics operations and receiving management. There are fewer surprises, and we've saved labor in having to make schedule changes.

Pros

It has provided a solid platform for allowing carriers to self-serve their appointments, while providing a lot of flexibility in structuring our docks and material types.

Cons

It can be difficult to manage the allocation of appointments among multiple carriers; Essentially it is a first come first serve arrangement so the more aggressive carriers can scoop up close-in appointments.

Friendly user interface, which makes easy to read and understand the schedule. Also facilitates training.

Cons

Opendock is pretty simple and straighfoward. Maybe there should be an app (even though there's a mobile version, an app would be easier)

Good--we were rough at the start due to switching companies, but the more that we use Opendock, we are getting a stronger understanding of what it can do.

Pros

I like the fact that we can have carriers schedule through Opendock instead of us having to do the schedule. With our past company, we would take emails and plot out the schedules ourselves but with Opendock, we don't really have to have that much interaction with the carriers--just instruct them where to schedule and what company to use on Opendock.

Cons

I don't like that we have to consolidate the schedule every time we want to keep vendors from scheduling too heavy during a day. For example, we have Coyote who tries to kill us with scheduling six trailers in one day. We have had to cut down the schedules/dock doors to try to limit the carrier from scheduling so heavy. I wish there was a way that a carrier was limited by Opendock to where they could only schedule 2 or 3 a day (set up in Opendock by us) to limit a carrier from trying to overkill us on trucks. There might be an option, but I have not really heard of a way to prevent this. This would save us some issues with our current situation.

Scheduling in general. I've never had trucks scheduled before so as a supervisor being able to plan labor and be proactive is a huge win.

Cons

Honestly, it is not on opendock at all, but carriers scheduling in wrong time slots or under wrong docks is my only con using the application currently.

I like that the companies can schedule times. it makes for better accountability on all sides.

I don't like that there is extra work on the backside to finish an appointment.
