The templates are easy to use and the data is formatted in an understandable way. It's also super easy to share forms for collaboration through this platform. Cons Sometimes the forms feel limited in their capacity. I really wish they had an option similar to Sign-Up Genius for events. It is fun creating polls or surveys quick and easy. With direct links to Microsoft accounts, I can track the data very easily. Pros Microsoft Forms is an excellent tool to use if you have the 365 suite. Being able to directly link a form or survey to your account, or reference other accounts, really help when collecting data. The survey designs are simple enough that everyone can understand what is going on. Despite that, the customizations are very tailored to simplistic form design. Containing it within the Microsoft 365 environment helps give a sense of security as well. Cons Some of the functionality can be a little too basic in comparison to other advanced form tools. Cons I honestly wish that it would create a QR code. I recently helped a colleague make a form to use for her caring closet, and I had to use a separate app to make the QR code. It's not something that needs to be learned and or trained on. Pros I like that it can download the data into an Excel sheet to showcase all the numbers. Also, the varieties have a pie chart to show the results visually. From an admin and participant perspective it is a very well-rounded software that doesn't differ too much. The options of question types are not confusing and doesn't clear on to help you what goal you're trying to achieve. I appreciate the existing template that is being offered currently. It's a good range for people to begin with and it showcases that i Cons From an admin side: I feel that it would be useful in a technical aspect, to put ideal background wallpaper format size for users to be aware that if it isn't this particular size, the image will be stretched. It makes it a good value for our money if we're already paying for it. It's also easy to use and navigate. Pros I love the dynamic options for design and customization. Being able to utilize videos and sound can really compliment forms. My preference is for forms that collect and display data in an easy to visualize way, so that is a bonus. It's also helpful when trying to make sure my team responds thanks to being able to send it directly to the organizational emails. Cons I am not sure how secure the platform is, but that is due to my own lack of knowledge. I have not looked into that, so don't weigh that factor of the decision on me. June 11, 2025 5.0 Microsoft Forms has been a life saver for me as I'm using it to replace an online document that everyone used at the same time to enter information and it was really messy. Now I just collect the information I need without people touching the document where the info goes. Pros I really love that it's so easy to use. The first time I used it it wasn't difficult at all, I was just learning as I went along. Cons I wish it had more ways to personalize your forms. Also there is a response limit.
