Pros They came as a bonus on the Office pack and used them regularly. It is easy to use and creating something does not take too much time. It isnice that the fields are customizable and the user interface is friendly. Another thing I really like is that the results are very easy to export. We knew what questions we wanted answered, and we knew whom we needed to answer each set of questions. With that knowledge, we began looking for a product that could provide that. What we found was software that either did not meet our needs or software that was geared towards large healthcare organizations with budgets exponentially larger than ours. Thankfully we found Forms in a Microsoft Bundle we had purchased. We didn't know we needed it, but by sheer luck, we ended up with it and decided to give it a try. For a minimal investment of time and no capital investment, we have created the program that didn't previously exist. I can't say enough about the ability of Forms to meet our needs. Pros Microsoft Forms allows us to create questionnaires for our staff, students, and families in very little time. These forms and the reporting that follows them influence our decisions for client progression. It has allowed us to take a variety of sources of information and condense them into quantifiable results. Cons For what we needed, it requires someone with the technical knowledge to operate Forms and the operational knowledge to know what questions needed to be asked. Without both, it would be rather useless. Luckily for us, we are overloaded with operational knowledge, and the relative ease of using Forms means that we have multiple people capable of handling the actual creation. Review Source Stuart W. Pros As per my perspective, one of the most impressive features of Microsoft Forms is its branching logic functionality. This powerful feature allows me to tailor the survey experience for each respondent by directing them to specific sections of my survey based on their responses to previous questions, using if-then statements. The importance of this feature lies in its ability to ensure that respondents are presented with only the most relevant survey questions, thereby optimizing their survey experience. Cons It's worth noting that Microsoft Forms does not currently offer a built-in revision history feature or a collaboration feature for multiple people to work together on a survey form. May 5, 2022 5.0 As an Instructional Designer/Data analyst, I use Microsoft Forms in many situations, but mainly two common scenarios work well for me: 1) Creating formative assessment quizzes within learning modules and online courses. 2) Using forms as a data input source in a basic learning analysis workflow. I create quizzes, feedback forms, and surveys. Then I pass the forms' responses to Microsoft Excel Online and connect Excel online to Microsoft Power Bi. Pros Microsoft forms application is easy to use and has many features that suit a wide range of use cases. It has various question types, design themes, sharing options, and response analytics. Also, it is accessible for users with visual disabilities as it has Microsoft Immersive reader built-in. The Forms settings allow admins to control who can access the form and specify when published ones are accepting responses. It's highly customizable and seamlessly integrates with Office 365 and the commonly used third-party applications/platforms. It is a reliable solution for surveys, polls, feedback, quizzes, and business communications. Cons I can't see the downsides of Microsoft Forms. I think it's one of the most efficient applications of Microsoft 365.
