Vagrant Reviews
"Vagrant makes development easier without creating complexity"
Overall: It helps development teams and infrastructure teams to deliver faster.
Pros: Is free! Easy learning curve and there is plenty of documentation from Hashicorp.
Cons: Can't think of any, maybe making networking configuration a bit more simplistic would help junior devs.
"Vagrant - virtualization made easy in my DEV environment"
Overall: been a bonus discovering the application and learning to setup, now making life very easy for the DEV environment in setting up netowrks / vm's / etc
Pros: simplicity to use, small footprint, easy to setup
Cons: initially, getting used to the commands, otherwise, I just love it
"Good Virtual Dev Environment"
Overall: A handy tool for making consistent virtual machines, even though it could do with some improvements.
Pros: Makes setting up and using virtual environments a breeze for your team, making work faster and easier.
Cons: It's a great tool but when things get more advanced, it sometimes falls short.
"Vagrant as a deployment modeling tool"
Overall: Vagrant is a very practical tool to use and speeds up the design, testing and deployment of applications
Pros: Vagrant is a cross-platform tool that allows fast application modeling
Cons: It can be a bit complicated to use especially in the networking part if you are not an experienced user
"Solid Virtual Environment Software"
Overall: Vagrant was the first Virtual environment creation software I used, it works well, but when you need to go more advanced, it doesn't always do the job.
Pros: Vagrant does exactly what you expect, it's not flashy but it provides a rock solid virtual environment creation area. I've experienced little to no crashes and it's not as resource hungry as it's competitors.
Cons: I dislike that it's a little more basic than it's competitors, it does the job, but is lacking quite a few features.
