Cloud Identity software comprises a suite of tools that enables admins to manage all users, apps, and devices from a centralized Google Admin command console. The IDaaS tool offers Google Workspace-specific identity services and endpoint admin functions on a stand-alone basis. It provides access to thousands of apps through single sign-on (SSO). Admins can manage company accounts using the same processes that are used for personal accounts. It provides and manages Google Accounts for users who don't need certain Google Workspace apps, like Calendar or Gmail, but still need to work with Google Drive, Docs, Meet, Slides, etc. The software also doubles up as an enterprise mobility management (EMM) product and helps users or groups centrally manage app authentications, authorizations, and mobile security. It also protects company data using BeyondCorp and Google's proprietary threat intelligence signal. The best part is that it seamlessly integrates with all the applications and there is very little setup required to get it up and running. It reduces the infra cost of keeping an identity platform. Cons Some of the features are a little complicated and thus take sometime to understand for new team members. Pros We can use Cloud Identity for authenticate users with our domain mail ID & also we do not need to spare full licnese for the user. We can use for authentication purpose & share our content with authentication. Also you can use Cloud Identity with Google Credential Provider for Windows (GCPW) for authenticating your enterprise Windows laptops. Cons With Google Cloud Identity you can you get 15 GB drive space & use couple feature from your Google Workspace but you can not use Google Chat feature. If Google allow Google Chat with Cloud Identity users then it will be a great.
