### "Great IDE for Golang everyday work"

March 1, 2023

4.0

If you use Golang for your daily work, then Goland is the best IDE that can help your productivity.

Pros

Project management, Plugins (git, themes, shortcuts), easy-to-debug services, builtin remote development, etc. Tips and Suggestions

Cons

RAM consumption,More GoLang plugins. Integrate go tools like vet, etc to run during build.

### "Awesome and fully featured"

November 3, 2022

5.0

A must have for any go developer. Some great tools and resources I did not know I needed.

Pros

Easy to use, helped me be more productive all around. Its fun to use. Has some great tutorials and a great feature set. Tons of stuff to customize out of the box, lots of plugins. A bit pricy, but well worth the price. The help to see what a function is and does and the documentation is huge. The search is great.

Cons

Took a little getting use to, and a little to customize and get setup how I wanted to optimize my workflow, there is a ton of options and some are not labeled how I would think. I needed to increase the JVM size which was not known. Sometimes its very picky about the import list and won't let me include something before I have time to implement it (too quick), other times is super slow with the import list and won't recognize something like "fmt" for a while and i have to manually add it in. A bit pricy, but well worth the price in the long run.

My company offered to pay for it for me, and it was well worth the shift, especially after support for Atom.io stopped

### "Golang at its best"

January 14, 2023

4.0

Pros

\- The best Golang IDE hands-down- Great for navigating and understanding code- Great at measuring test coverage visually - The code suggestions and linting is also best in the business

Cons

The only thing I don't like about Goland is that, it does not have a free edition. It is only available if paid money for.

### "Nothing comes closer to this editor"

October 10, 2022

5.0

Overall experience was really nice and I really loved this product. Tried lot of alternatives but this one is awesome and I usually give more preference to editors that are designed for specific languages.

Pros

The software is really nice for coding your code in golang language. It automatically formats your code as soon as you minimize or run the code. The code also gets colorful which makes it easy to read within the editor. You can directly push the code to git repos from the editor itself using terminal provided into it and same can be used for performing other got related stuff like installing libraries and build deployments.

Cons

To very frank I have not found any as such defects into the editor. Yes the cost is the factor due to which people usually don't go for it.

It's generic editor and doesn't any good support or functionalities like Goland for Golang. You need to install all the packages and libraries to make it compatible for go.

### "It makes easier to learn"

April 5, 2024

5.0

It’s great, it facilitates all the tasks you have to do to run a go program, so I really liked it

Pros

I have tried to learn to programming in go for a while but I’m a self taught developer and it was the first low code language I learned. It made a lot easier to start programming with this IDE because you can setup everything from there

Cons

I mean, at the moment I haven’t paid for it because I’m using a student credential, but I think it is a little expensive

Visual studio code is just a text editor so it was very difficult to start learning with all the setup of go

### "Great IDE for Go"

January 13, 2023

5.0

Pros

Goland is the best IDE for developing in Go. Lots of helpful functionality including a great debugger.

Cons

It is language specific, so if you want to develop in other languages you’ll have to use multiple IDEs. Additionally it is quite complex for new users and may take some time to understand all the features and functionality
