It also sorts the flaws by severity allowing teams to focus on fixing the highest priority issues first. Cons A scan can take a very long time to finish, though can be easily stopped early if needed. There is a progress bar but this doesn't provide an accurate estimation of how far through the scan it currently is. Very good documentation and support. Pros Easy to install, run, and interpret the results. OWASP ZAP helped me to achieve standards of security testing. The fact that is an open source project is just incredible. The documentation is written well and comprehensive. Cons Some errors in the report were pretty general. It was easy to install and use, and it had a lot of features that made testing web applications much easier. The only downside I found was that it was a bit slow when running tests against large web applications. Pros The most appealing feature of OWASP ZAP is its ability to be used both as a stand-alone application and as a plugin for other systems. This makes it very versatile and easy to use in a variety of situations. Additionally, OWASP ZAP offers a wide range of features and options, which makes it a very powerful tool for web application security testing. Cons I did not like that the documentation for OWASP ZAP is spread out across many different places. It would be nice if there was a central place where all the documentation could be found. Reasons for choosing OWASP ZAP Owasp Zap has a nice interface and is easy to use than burp suite.
