Workhorse SaaS!" November 20, 2024 5.0 Have been using it for years and years as a freelancer, and haven't ever thought to look at anything else for time tracking. So quick to track time. Reports are easy to create and I like the "duplicate" and "favorites" features. I just skim the surface these days since I mainly have one client/project, but when my freelance life was more complicated was great to be able to switch nimbly between projects. Nice historical view of my work life, too--I can tell clients how long something took very easily. Pros Bug-free, constantly and seemlessly getting improvements that are meaningful and not cosmetic. Nice reminders when you have forgotten to click time. Very intuitive UI (has not felt the need for AI!). Strong support (not that I've needed it.). It just works! Cons Not much here; I guess maybe that it has a lot of features I don't use so can feel cluttered. I guess the mobile app's hour wheel thing is a bit hard to use and not sure it helps much. Pros Toggl is fantastic! Super simple to use, and works great to help me keep track of the time I spend on design projects. Plus, when you download the app, they have an "always on top" feature that keeps the window above anything I'm working on, so that I don't forget about it. I use the Chrome extension most often - it's so convenient. Pros I love that you can both track and manually record time entries. I also use the reporting features a lot - they help me get a better understanding in what directions I put my time. We love the flexibility and continued improvements to the platform Pros Love the flexibility and desktop app. The memory of prior entries is entry for our work and the tracking is activity/programs or files is great! It gives me a lot of clarity and motivates me and keeps me accountable. There's a lot of neat little functions you can discover in it beyond the basics and there is a lot of good in the free version. Thanks toggl. Pros I love all the different functionalities and tools and the new Goals function. I like the design and how you can assign colours to projects. The Reports and Insights provide a lot of detailed and varied breakdown of things. Cons How in some browsers (chrome) you can't see very much of the day in the week view, it's a bit cramped. Pros I like the cross device functionality (iPad, iPhone, PC laptop, web interface (I use most)). Simple, clean, yet powerful. I really like the export to Excel function so I can do my invoices. I don't use "Invoices" feature, bcs I make my own, but I really appreciate this possibility there. I really appreciate the simplicity of "click to track". This keeps things well organized - exactly the opposite of "auto track applications opened" solutions. Love it. Pros Simplicity of time tracking (one click literally), quick access to latest tasks, and ease of use for managing multiple projects and clients. Everything is so intuitive. Cons What's really grind my gears is in reports I can't select multiple tasks (in group by project view), so I can marge it on my invoice to a one item. Now I need to do the the math on my own. Cons I think that it is difficult for new users to track the time manually, but it has been improved with new actualizations, so it's working! I'd love it if the platform adds the option to create to-do lists with check boxes! It integrates with all of my technology tools and I am able to see how much time I actually take on tasks. This is super helpful when I am working on client projects so I can accurately quote pricing. Pros I love how I can track from anywhere... my browser, my phone, my project management app. Anywhere. This makes it super easy for me to always track my time. I also love the automatic tracking when I forget to track it knows that I was doing something on my computer so I am able to go back and tell it what I was doing. The value for what you get seems to be there. I have no significant complaints. If you need a way to track your employee's time, this is a decent way to go about it. Pros Toggle Track mostly works well, providing useful reports, easy onboarding and such, for keeping track of everyone's hours, billing rate, etc. Reports can be downloaded in a variety of formats, which is quite useful. Projects, clients & other categories are customizable, making it easy to tailor the setup to one's needs. Cons There can be occasional errors that don't appear to have explanations. It helps the engineer to identify which area is getting huge workload and which has less. You can achieve your yearly performance looking into the tracked areas. Pros The best part is email synchronisation. It helps to track the meeting invites and you don’t need to record it manually. Cons It should have more projects to track the bridge and joint calls, support providing to other teams and teammates. Still, we use internal meetings project for the same.
