It has exactly what I need and is free which gives me no reason to try and find a different provider. Pros I like the plugin functionality and that it’s very intuitive and easy to use. I normally stay on the desktop app unless I need to get the total overall times for specific projects. Web app is not the easiest to navigate. It's a bit confusing with the names to know where you need to head to to find your total times. 'Analytics', 'insights', 'reports' - it would be helpful to have at least an option to have a homepage/dashboard show up as the start page on web that asks you what you need to do with quick link tiles. Keep the side nav, but make it easier with better login dashboard. 👍 Pros It's free and desktop app is nice and easy to use. Has some handy features like being able to just cancel out inactive periods. Cons Web app is much more complex to navigate around. I've used it to track time as both a full-time employee and a contractor. I've never had a major issue. Pros As a freelancer, I love the ability to set "keywords" for clients in the desktop app. When I'm on a browser tab or system program that contains the keyword (my client's brand name in this case), it reminds me to start the timer. Love that. Cons I wish the freemium model was limited in number of products as opposed to features. This would be a better freemium model for my needs, but I understand their business decision as well. I have not explored the paid-for service, so I cannot comment on the added benefits. Pros The ease of adding new clients or new projects and simply starting the timer. If I forget to stop the timer, I get a reminder sent to both my computer and my phone (where I have the app loaded too), and I can then work out when I stopped the relevant work and adjust the time. Then each month, I can draw up a report showing how I've spent my time, on which projects, for which clients, etc. and send out my invoice/s. All this is part of their free service. Pros It's very easy to use with other apps like calendar, todoist, etc. It has made it easier for me to track my activities and productivity, as it allows me to know exactly where I spend my time, for example how much time I spend reading something or researching something. This allows me to be more aware of how I spend my time and make changes to improve. Cons I've heard some people get overwhelmed with so many options on the dashboard, but that's not my case. In any case, I think the dashboard could be set up as simple as possible, but I don't try to do that. The Stop Timer is so small, the fact that you accidentally swipe away the timer page and the timer erases any timing tracked thus far since it wasn't saved... please make the app more like the web browser. Cons I used Toggl to also timekeep my hours works, my issue comes when adding in lunches. When looking at my hours worked, my lunch time is not subtracted from my total hours worked. It removes the friction of logging my time, which I appreciate. I love it but please fix the iphone app and widget. Then it'll be a solid 5 stars! Pros I love how it reminds me to track my time as I often forget. But this feature helps me remember. Cons The iphone app (specifically the widget on the home screen) is a bit glitchy. It never shows the current time I'm tracking. It always shows the prevous time tracking even though I've already stopped that on the web. And it takes me many times pressing the "stop" button to stop any task. The widget is nice to have and I like to use it but it needs a lot of work. Review Source HG Haley G. I like the updates that enhance the current usage (e.g., the recent Timesheet Approvals enhancement). And the other useful features like Integrations which makes this tool even better. Theres a few workarounds I would have to implement for me to get my entire team to use it but the free trial has been a god send for that. Pros I like the weekly time slots showing how you spent your time that week. We arent using it for billable hours but more as an extra tracking for how long we spend on projects and its been working great for that. Cons That a lot of the tracking is done only through the Toggl calendar, I wish I could still use google/outlook seemlessly but I understand they are different products. Made tracking development time much less painful than it would have been without it. There was not much of a learning curve either. Cons The app did its job well. Pros It's easy to use and I can really quickly get an overview where I've spent my time. Cons I believe the Firefox extension, maybe it's the same for Chrome, is really easy to stop your timer and accidentally press on another timer that was not meant to be pressed and it starts counting.
