Has been the best tool I’ve found for time tracking and there’s so many small details that make it very user friendly and not the normal tracker Pros The ease of Toggl has made it so much easier to track my time compared to other apps. I use it everyday and it’s hands down the best solution I’ve tried. Every small feature makes a huge difference and that’s why I keep using it. I have ADHD and time blindness is soooo hard for me. So having a fool proof system and all the bells and whistles are the only thing that is truly keeping me in line. I use the chrome plugin, the desktop tool, mobile so I can start and stop quickly. I love the new feature where it shows what was detected so you can guess in case you need to go back and add manual time. I also really appreciate the new feature where when you switch windows, it will suggest you start recording your time in case you forgot. That reminders and the email reminder that my timer is still running is huge!! The multiple categories and recall of related and past projects that auto populate suggest are also amazing. The color coding and ability to switch between calendar and list view is super helpful and I use both every day. Cons This isn’t really a Toggl issue but I often forget to turn it off, frequently. The emails are helpful but often I don’t see them until later and if it’s out of sight, it’s out of mind. Since Toggl had the ability to see in the background what apps I’m using, if it notices none are being used, offering a suggested turn off that you can opt in when you return. Pros Toggl makes it easy to log your time, categorize it to clients and projects, and view reports on how you spend your time by day, week, month, or other duration. It is easy enough to archive projects, run reports, and the reminders of when your timer is left running are useful. The free version has been enough for me. Cons It can be a little cumbersome to revise start time or total duration of a time log, as it needs to be done via a calendar view rather than in the running timer. But this is a minor complaint. I've been a Toggl Track user for 15 years and it's been of great help for reporting time. Saves me time by not having to take notes and manually calculate spent time. Just click start and click stop, then get stats organized by project, with breakdowns (weekly, detailed, etc.), Pros Super easy to use. Very complete to quickly get my timesheet and time allocations from the dashboards. Cons I can't think of anything in specific. The tool works fine for me in the way that I use it. I love the different ways to view the data, as well as being able to set goals and connect to a calendar. Pros It's super user friendly and works across pretty much every device. Cons In order to set custom colors for projects, outside of the 14 options, one needs a paid subscription. But it's not worth it for me to pay for a subscription just to color code things a bit more specifically. However, I truly benefit from it—it’s my first step before starting to study to open Toggl <3 Pros Detailed Reporting Very useful for me Offline Mode : I mostly use it in offline mode, and I love that. I do not use it's billing features, it is purely an internal guide about where my efforts and time are going. Pros The new "Goals" feature is an instant winner. This is what I actually wanted to be tracking as a solopreneur - it allows me to group different projects to see total effort in a given area. Cons Adding unclocked time or editing existing time entries can be tricky - the app will auto change dates as one enters or alters the time. If you are not careful and double-checking your work, you end up with wildly inaccurate entries that have to reconstructed later - taking more work time.
