Pros There are many things to like about the Uncat software, but the three things that stand out the most to me are the database, the data transfer, and the overall user-friendliness of the interface. I also liked the way that they were always willing to go the extra mile to ensure that their clients and customers were happy. Cons There aren't many things that I didn't like about Uncat. This is not really a con but to get the most out of the software it's best to complete/watch the training videos as there are a lot of features that if you do not do the training you would not know about. Reason for choosing Uncat Uncut was the first option I found in my search and after seeing there demo presentation I did not need to look any further. CPA Accounting Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "It's been life changing" October 6, 2022 5.0 I love not having to export spreadsheets, email them back and forth, read an Excel spreadsheets that have been converted to a pdf, printed, and then emailed back. It's saved me so much time. Pros It's super easy to implement and use, and it doesn't really take "onboarding" from clients - they adapt to it very quickly and I have way more clients letting me know their suspense transactions on a monthly basis instead of me chasing it down and only getting it at tax time. I love that it automatically follows up with the client, and that they don't have to set up an account to use it. It's also great because any docs they upload or notes they add sync over to the accounting software Cons Honestly, there isn't anything I dislike about it. If I have to list something, the login dashboard for the accountant user is hard to read if there are a lot of clients but it's not a big deal at all. No more having to manually send them lists of transactions to review and then manually change in QBO. Uncat automates the client requests and then makes it easy to push updated transactions back to QBO. Pros Uncat masterfully combines excel functionality, pushing data back to QBO, and notes into one easy to use software. The magic links to login have made client adoption success fantastic. Thanks UnCat team! Pros We love using this for clean-up clients. It has made follow up emails a breeze, I simply just need to state we have X# of transactions pending in UnCat and for them to please give us detail. Although we still use email for our long-term clients who just prefer that, this is fantastic for our cleanup clients, and will be used on most of our new clients going forward. Having the ability to give the client a magic link (not another login they need to use!) is fantastic, and they view it as a mini "to-do" list. Cons Adding new accounts, and vendors is possible, but the interface is a bit buggy. For instance, selecting the proper account class sometimes the drop down doesn't appear. Additionally, I've had to manually add a new account to the "Exclude account" list in the client settings, to get it to appear in the drop down menu when classifying transctions. Overall, just a little issue for everyday use, but a larger one when dealing with clean up clients. Reason for choosing Uncat Good reviews from others using it, additionally keeper is redundant as we keep track of bookkeeping review in QBO or in a spreadsheet. It has been a huge timesaver and has eliminated the need to download spreadsheets and e-mail them to clients when I have questions about uncategorized transactions. Pros Uncat is easy for both myself and my clients to use. It eliminates the constant back and forth of emails about transactions that I have questions about. It allows clients to easily see all the details about the transaction in question. Cons The one feature I'm waiting for that it does not currently have, but they say it is planned, is the ability to ask clients non-transaction related questions. January 13, 2023 5.0 I have connected Uncat to both QuickBooks Online and Quickbooks desktop. Both work great! I have finally been able to get information that I have been asking for for months. I love that it sends reminder emails/texts to the client so I don't have to! Pros Uncat is easy to install and setup. It only takes a few minutes to up and running and makes the never ending task of chasing clients so much easier! The clients love the how easy it is to use and they can use it anywhere on any device. I can ask them without needing to email or call, and they can tell me what a transaction is on their own time. I love that we can use Uncat daily, weekly, or monthly. Some clients don't want to hear from their bookkeeper more than once a year, some want weekly updates. Uncat makes sure that I can give them weekly updates. Pros The best part about Uncat is that my clients do not need to install an app or create another username and password. They have a hard enough time as it is keeping track of their usernames and passwords for their own logins, let alone new ones that I make them create. Cons Their UI is fairly cluttered for the client. I'd like to see it be a little more modern and readable.
