Pros If you take advantage of other google apps in your organization (docs, meet, calendar etc.) they all communicate with one another but more importantly, they communicate with other team members. Pros We love that we can create a document that can be seen and edited by other team members without having to copy files to flash drives or attach them to emails. Spreadsheets and reports are most important, and they involve being seen by many people before being finalized. We can store each draft so we don't lose them, them keep working forward until we have a finished product to present to the masses. With team members scattered all over the place, it's a real time saver. Cons The documents don't always update in real time. We'll get on the phone to discuss, say, a spreadsheet, and we'll suddenly realize we're looking at different drafts. As soon as everyone refreshes their screens and connections, voila, we're all back on the same page, but it's a real pain sometimes when we're in a hurry to discuss something. Google should look into why this keeps happening. Cons Although Gemini is a new feature and still a work in progress, I’ve found that many of the commands I try end up with a message saying, "Sorry, I can't help with that." It's very easy to use and maintain, and also instruct our less tech savvy coworkers on how to use. Where as when I have used similar products from Microsoft in the past, it has become extremely cumbersome due to version differences and OneDrive being... Well, OneDrive. Pros Easy to use and maintain. Much more user friendly than Microsoft equivalent. You don't have to install anything on a computer to use it. Being able to quickly access things from your Drive in to your Gmail, Google Meet, or other spots (like Slack) is super easy and makes for a pleasant user experience. It's much more difficult to use similar products with Microsoft or with any other open source software. Cons The apps for Mobile aren't as robust as one would like, but they're still pretty good. There are no apps for docs/sheets/slides/drive for Amazon Kindle, which is rather annoying, they simply open a website in Silk. However, most "apps" in the Kindle store are of a similar nature, so I can sort of excuse it. Cons Google Workspace fails to have a dedicated illustrator tool on par with LucidChart, Vizio, or Illustrator. It is the one glaring issue that I have to go elsewhere to meet my business needs. Cons Price scales quickly with the number of users in your company. API keys are not easy to use and manage. Once your data is located in Google cloud migrating tio another provider seems really hard.
