I live in Drive. We don't use chat since we're Slack shop, same with Meet (Zoom). But the productivity tools work well and have some of the best collaboration features of any suite. Pros Huge ecosystem of apps and collaboration tools, generous storage and great mobile capabilities. Gemini integration works fairly well. Cons Sometimes Gmail can be cumbersome to navigate\\search, especially if you are coming from Exchange\\Outlook. Not a big fan of conversation views and I disable (goes for all providers). The drive hosts all of my content, gmail handles all of my main communication needs, I can build highly customized presentations in slides, and everything I create is easily shared and collaborative when needed. Cons I wish that documents and slides weren’t compromised when migrating back and forth between the Google workspace and Microsoft office. I often collaborate with users from both and it would be amazing if the two spoke to each other more seamlessly. Pros Everything is in one place, which is very good. Gmail, Drive, and Chat connect smoothly. I use it daily to share code documents and join meeting with team. Real-time editing on doc is best feature for collaboration when writing technical specs together. Cons Sometimes it feels very slow when I open many tabs in browser. Search inside Drive not always show correct file I want quickly. Pricing is getting little high for business account now. Mobile app notification is sometimes late for urgent alerts. Pros Google Docs is best for writing PRD (Product Requirements Document) because engineering team can comment real-time. Slides is easy for making roadmap presentations for leadership. I like that everything saves in cloud automatically, so I never lose my ideas or user story drafts. Cons Google Sheets is not powerful like Excel for heavy data analysis of user metrics. As a nonprofit, we get access to plenty of storage for no cost! Pros The Google suite of products is one of the best all-in-one platforms for any organization's needs. It includes cloud storage with great security and options to set document access at any level. The admin console is user-friendly and Google has great how-to articles for almost every situation. Cons Some folks have mentioned fears of security issues, whether relating to incorrect permissions on files or relating to admin access. All fears mentioned by users were already addressed by Google! The 2-factor authentication requirement is a unfortunately necessary change, but is perhaps my least favorite feature to enter my password over and over every day. Cons I have no complaints about Google Workspace right now. I know some teammates in the past have struggled to recover access with linked accounts (i.e. updating permission to a new user through Google account to business' YouTube account), but beyond that, it's great.
