Very few issues that are not easily resolvable. Pros The synchronization between Gmail and Outlook makes it much easier to work from either platform. This allows us to set up new users on whatever email platform they are comfortable with and switch them to Outlook or Gmail or other seamlessly Cons We occasionally have sync errors where the users complain that they are missing email in Outlook that were there the day before and we have to re-sync Google Workspace to recover them. That's the best word I can use for Google Workspace in the context of collaboration between adjunct instructors. People are comfortable (inherent trust) with the very name from the get-go, much less the interaction they've already had in other contexts. Pros So, I have a part-time, evening job as an adjunct instructor. We use Google Workspace for a variety of important tasks, especially our file sharing. Google Drive is of critical importance to us because the small team of instructors runs the gamut of technical skills. Anything complicated or requiring a learning curve would be inefficient based on time, resources, etc. The familiarity people have with Google products tremendously comes into play and benefits the overall flow of work; from course conception to workshop delivery. Cons The only downside is lags in file sharing and especially upload. Although I would guess that that is often attributed to the possibly remote location of a fellow instructor and their internet access. Review Source AT Andrias T.
