We are now fully using the High QA functionality and are adding more licenses. We are collecting data on more and more parts for customers and using it to help improve our machining processes.

Pros

The customer support has been amazing. The have helped with using wireless devices at the inspection stations and getting High QA to take data from our visual inspection system and the CMMs. Called with a problem one day and the \[sensitive content hidden\] answered the phone and was able to get our issue resolved within hours.

Cons

We currently do not have any issues that we fell are a con. We of course would prefer a cheaper solution, but the product is of such high value, we feel it is worth the cost.

The High QA software and its team have been paramount to the growth of not only our inspection capabilities, but the growth of our organization as a whole. When our part print characteristics grew, High QA had a solution (IM Ballooning). When we needed a new database to track our gages, High QA had Gage Management. When we needed to promote quality and communicate requirements to the shop floor, High QA offered a user-friendly web-based solution (IME/IMEX). When we grew the need for automation, High QA had an automatic data import solution (AMDI). When we needed a solution for viewing and managing MBD with PMI, High QA offered their MBD module. When AS13100 was released and we needed compliance, you guessed it...High QA (PQP module). As industry and organizational needs arise, High QA has met and will continue to meet or exceed those needs.

Pros

High QA and its software continue to offer not only solutions to quality standard compliance, but a centralized hub to organize, process, and communicate product/process results. With our product characteristic numbers often in the thousands, High QA makes it easy to manage and organize product data to ensure it can be reviewed efficiently and appropriate action can be taken where necessary.

Cons

Some of the hurdles we encounter with High QA are mostly related to minor misalignments between our organization's product offering versus what is more common in our industry. We often have specialized scenario's where it is not viable for us to work within specific workflow parameters. For example, there may be a feature that is not working 100% as intended, seen as a minor issue at High QA, as it can be resolved using a temporary mitigation action that may add 2 minutes to resolve. This may not be seen as a pressing issue to resolve when it may present itself once every 100 ballooned characteristics for an organization that 100 characteristics is considered a large quantity. For our organization, we see characteristics in the thousands for a single part. What is seen to be a minor issue is now amplified 10-40 times in occurrence. At this scale, minor bugs are major bugs to our organization. Because of this, these minor bugs get low priority in release and may not be fixed for years or may get lost overtime.

HighQA has been great to work with but it has been quite an intense project to get up and running. There has been a lot of requirements with hardware that required new purchases to run correctly. We also have had to request a lot of support to get up and running out of the box.

Pros

The support for the product has been great. We have made several software enhancement requests which HighQA has tried their best to accommodate. The software does provide an all-in-one package for what we are looking for as well.

Cons

Some of the workflow for different tasks can be cumbersome and take time to complete. Also, there is not much available to the user/admin as far as customization. Anytime we need a change or update we typically have to request it through a ticket system.

The software, continual updates and feature development, support when we need it has all been awesome for 7+ years.

Pros

High QA has simplified the inspection and inspection planning processes inside of our shop to a point where it's just automatic now and no longer a bottlenect.

Cons

There isn't anything I can think of that we like "least". We might be missing some features we aren't utilizing, but for our purposes its perfect.

To be honest, My first job in a quality role was bubbling drawings to assist with our QA department. Once I started bubbling all of the features on a drawing I began to retain what all of the GD&T symbols meant. It made moving into a quality role a very simple transition.

Pros

Ease of use. This product has condensed days of work into hours. I like that I can color coordinate my ballonned features based on the operation type.

Cons

I don't like that you have to pay for multiple seats. I wish the pricing was per organization, and not per user. I like that the tool will convert from metric to SAE, but it doesn't carry over the conversions into our ERP.

Experience with High QA has been outstanding! The training and support are very good. I recommend it for standardization, efficiency, and return on investment.

Pros

High QA is the highest ROI investment our aerospace manufacturing company has made in the last four years. It brings standardization, reduces errors, saves about 85% of labor compared to the manual way we used to balloon drawings and create inspection reports, and gives a best-in-class impression to customers.

Cons

My biggest regret is that the company did not start using High QA sooner. There are some tasks I would prefer different, the value of the solution far outweighs interest for minor modifications.

The speed and accuracy High QA brings to our inspection documentation process is excellent; we often wonder how we got by for so long without it.

Pros

Bubble drawings are created in seconds, even with a lower quality scanned document.

Cons

It is not the most intuitive software for people with less than average computer skills.
