December 22, 2025 5.0 I have said it before and I will say it again, every dental office should be using Akitu One! I have worked with many different dental softwares and nothing compares to Akitu One! It works for multi dental offices and it has truly been such a game changer for our clinics. Not only are we saving money with getting supplementary apps, we are saving time for our staff to focus on other things that are important. We recently got the new AI clinical notes and it is amazing! It saves everyone so much time and highlights the key talking points when reviewing patient clinical notes! Akitu One is always coming out with new things that make our day that much easier and make the day go smoother! I will forever recommend Akitu One to everyone! Pros Akitu One is very user friendly and there are so many helpful articles and videos for new users! The customer support team is always available and happy to help! The new AI clinical notes are a game changer as it saves so much time for the staff and gives important quick talking points when looking back at patient clinical notes. It felt like someone really cares about your business and your people. The support is 5 star. It is quick resolution, the support time needs to be acknowledge for their professionalism, kindness and patience. Cons On the charting, I do not like the images used to indicate a full upper denture or the partial dentures. I would like to see more charting in the AAP periodontal stage and grading, conditions of the tissue's. I feel as a hygienist this area is lacking a bit. I would like to be able to draw on the odontograms to give a more specific picture of what is really happening such as the area of decay is larger that just a black dot. December 22, 2023 5.0 Finding Akitu was like a dream, it fit our budget and the specific needs of our Dental Hygiene Clinic. We had a rough start opening our clinic. We tried several softwares and often found that they had misrepresented their capabilities or failed to deliver on their promises. Prior to Akitu we required more than one software at a time to meet our specific needs. The cost was significant and we spent endless hours transferring info between our previous softwares. Finding Akitu has saved us so much time, money and removed the headaches from our daily admin duties. Akitu will allow us to continue to operate without an administrator for much longer allowing us to continue to build our practice at a reduced cost! It has been a lifesaver! None of them checked all of the boxes and we had to run them in tandem. It was costly and inefficient. Curve was much like akitu but very costly and failed us in direct billing to insurance. Maxident was outdated and tedious to navigate, they had promised an updated program with online booking and failed to deliver in the promised time frame. We had used Jane in conjunction to maxident for online booking. We liked Jane however they did not offer dental specific programs or insurance billing as we required. Review Source JG Jennifer G. It has been a pleasure working with \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and his support people. The quality program, quality people. Pros We are less than 6 months with Akitu One. I love the financial system and the invoices. We came from a system that had a terrible financial layout and this has completely changed my mindset when having to do my collections. I love being able to send an invoice by email while still in that invoice. Time savings is a plus, so I am enjoying the fact that information retrieval is usually just a click away, pretty much anywhere in the system. The Akitu Intelligence was a real selling point for me and it has been a fantastic addition to my daily routine.  I must add, there was an unexpected bonus to this software that we did not expect and I am very happy with the decision to purchase AKITUOne. \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] and his group are THEE most significant features of this program. The overall support and attention that we have received from them right from day one have been amazing. They are open to feedback and suggestions and have been great with some customizations of the program for our office needs. Cons The migration was stressful of course. Our office was with another software for over 20 years so we had a lot of information to migrate. I won't lie, there were a lot of financial adjustments to be made after the migration but not the fault of AKITUOne. In fact, they were able to provide me with a list of accounts that needed attention and unlimited support during this time. The reason for the account problems was going from a system that did not use invoices to a system that did. Being on the Administrative side of the office and dealing mostly with the schedule and reports, I can only speak to what I use the most. We have noticed some areas that are limited when rebooking broken appointments and also some limits to booking off of a patient's planned treatments, that information is not carried over to the actual appointment. Not a huge deal but again, I am always looking to save time where I can.  The support staff have been open to this criticism and are looking into ways to address this. Reason for choosing Akitu One During the 2022 Spring Meeting, we went around and spoke to several companies about their dental software. AKITUOne stuck out for several reasons. Unique features ( AKITUOne Intelligence), ease of use, design, and layout(visually appealing), price point, local Ontario company, and of course the overall enthusiasm and love that this company showed for their program while they talked about it. Switched from [ABELDent](https://www.capterra.com/p/60250/ABELDent/) Poor support from AbelDent when discussing upgrading from their old platform to their new platform and the price point. We had been with them for over 20 years and we were being quoted substantially (basically we were being charged what new clients would have been charged) for migrating to their new and improved platform. January 15, 2024 5.0 As a dental team we were quite leary about the new software and that there was only online training available. Just very different than previous software switches but we were all surprised with how easy we were able to make the switch and get most things figured out. Pros Quick, easy and any changes we seem to ask for to improve usability seem to be added in. Good customer support from what i hear. Cons Not really anything in general but there are a few tweeks that can be made. More templates for xrays and IO photos. Also in the probing chart, if adjustments are made to an existing perio exam, it should save as a new date at the end of the day (sometimes multiple saves are made during exam so would have to be end of day). " December 23, 2025 5.0 I would recommended Akitu One to any dental professional looking for a user friendly, time saving and modern software. I wish we would have switched over sooner / heard about the software sooner but I am so happy we have it now. Pros Very easy to use, even when we have dental temps in the office I only need to spend 10 min tops going over the software as it is so simple to navigate. Reaching out to patients for reminders, appointment changes and quick check ins is simple and quick and everything is documented. Managing schedules for multiple providers is streamlined, I can add multiple deposits at once and keep track of any outstanding collections easily, no need to hire additional support staff to keep track of daily clinical tasks. Any time we have called support for a quick question they have always been SO helpful and quick with their response time, we really feel well cared for. Cons Small con, but because it is a cloud based software there needs to be internet for it to function. Sometimes if our internet is out we need to use a hot spot to access the software. The fact that this is Canada based is pretty darn awesome. Pros Developers are very responsive to suggestions, they are constantly working to improve the program. Support is a simple phone call away, rarely do I have to wait long for an answer, especially if I email a questions to them. Super user friendly and intuitive. Reports are easy to generate to track everything. I am quite content with the fee I pay, it is reasonable and significantly less than the last cloud based program I used. There are no "add on" fees for 3rd party platforms either (ie. online booking or online forms). I've trained multiple front desk staff on this program, none had prior dental experience. They all picked it up very quickly. Cons I would love to see a way to add units of time to planned unbooked appointments. That way patients can book an appropriate amount of time for online booking. I also use another platform for imaging as i find the xray filters aren't as crisp as I would like. However, I am confident they will address this issue as they are quite responsive. We love the updates because we can see that the software is getting efficient. Things that my receptionist wanted were gifted to us with over the air updates and she literally screamed with joy at the front. These updates are most welcomed! Cons Changes to the software puts the team in shock and they complain but but after a few days everyone gets use to it and we love the updates. I personally wish there was a mobile version so I can view things on my cellphone. The software updates have been easy to edit to my needs. Especially for myself, as I use this program as a nurse and hygienist to manage my patients. This program has allowed me to chart for my nursing aesthetics and dental treatments! Cons The PRICE! It's a little pricy, especially for someone just starting up like myself. I am a lone provider and only use the first tier. It would be great if emailing and texting were part of the first tier to get the most out of this program. The perioprobing requires absolute silence or may help with microphone. There are still a few things to iron out in terms of ease of use, but overall, the program is great.
