Satisfied with most of the products Pros \-Solid products out there in the market. -Ease of use -Efficiency gains -Address gaps that Oracle is unable to address through the Desktop Integrator. Cons Inability to address Oracle extensions within EBS. Oracle allows us to assign custom application IDs. In the case of SOW, customer specific responsibilities using a non-seeded application ID fails to Apply or Release holds. Oracle provides a framework for defining a non-standard application ID and assigning it to a non-standard responsibility. Our Pricing team members know how to manage their data with little or no IT involvement, which was always the goal. We also regularly use the Supplier Wizard successfully. Cons Some Wizards are difficult to use where very complex updates are needed (for example, the Project Wizard). Managing the learning curve and functional user adoption can be challenging. The customer support from more4apps has been wonderful! Thank you! Pros The item cost upload wizard saves us a lot of time with uploading discrete cost elements rather than manually entering them. We are looking forward to using this tool to upload labor and overhead rates soon. Cons The data layout format is not the most useful for how we manage our data, such as the way items are grouped with cost sub-element listed as subsets of an item number listed only once. Also, the time it takes to complete the upload is pretty slow compared to other similar tools I've used. We have several thousand purchased items, many with 5 separate cost elements, which all need to be uploaded. The tool is easy to use, improving efficiency, visibility, reliability and can create template specific to the department. Cons When the file size increases, we need to take care of the loading process. In case of an issue, it needs to be corrected and start over. Being able to perform validations in Excel before importing data into Oracle saves me time and increases data reliability and confidence in the process. Cons I believe the validation speed could be improved. I understand that there are necessary security protocols when accessing Oracle; however, in some cases, the validations are not fully precise and can be time-consuming. Occasionally, errors appear during validation that do not occur when I revalidate, which can slow down the process and create unnecessary rework. The downside is that it's always excel and data may not always be clean/they can be manipulated. An end-to-end interface may be a better long-term solution. Pros It's easy to use; it saves a lot of time in developing interfaces; it prevents errors outside Oracle tables Cons it may take some time to load large chunks of data; it takes some time to download info. As it is, using VBA and the various Wizard templates, we have a very slick operation which now means that RPA does not offer a great ROI, so we are happy to continue with our current setup, as it is flexible enough to meet our changing business needs, and simple enough for users to understand. Pros We have been using elements of the EBS toolbox since we migrated to Oracle from JD Edwards in 2012. The initial migration of Supplier, Customer and invoice data was done using the various Wizard templates, and we now have a number of automated processes which rely on the templates for loading Invoice/Expense data, uploading bank statement information to Cash Management, reconciling account postings, uploading scanned invoices into Oracle, and performing mass retirements of Fixed Assets. The ease with which we can customise the templates has meant that many of our processes have been streamlined and as a result save a massive amount of time Cons There aren't really any cons, although it would be helpful if when a new version was released there was a readme file to highlight new/deprecated features.
