Looking forward to the next version of Exchange Server. Pros The number of features and the flexibility of the configuration. The web based management system can handle most issues. Very low maintenance after initial setup. Cons Some of the commands can only be done through PowerShell, so you have to feel comfortable with PowerShell to get the full set of features. However, there is plenty of reference material so this is not a big issue. We currently use less than a half of its features and those cover all of our use cases for corporate emails. Also, it seamlessly integrates the Microsoft 365 solutions which is a big plus. Cons You will need very good technical knowledge to understand and to customise the solution if the defaults do not fit your use cases. If so, it is best to call a Microsoft Partner. The response is almost instantaneous across devices. It is easy to organize the calendars linked to the exchange emails. Cons I hate that Microsoft created various inbox capacities depending on the licence purchased just to force us to pay more expensive licences. Also, it is very complex to setup security and management policies in exchange in comparison to google workspace and apple iCloud. Switched from [Google Workspace](https://www.capterra.com/p/247901/Google-Workspace/) I switched only because Microsoft 365 licences allowed desktop apps, not because of the emails, because between Exchange and Google, I'd prefer Google anytime for email management. Alternatives considered [iCloud](https://www.capterra.com/p/204717/iCloud/) Reasons for choosing Microsoft Exchange Because of SharePoint that was included in my licence, not because of exchange.
