I will continue to use this company. Pros Easy to use. All info I needed was right there. I highly recommend this company and their version of back up. April 20, 2019 4.0 We have been using it to backup customer servers for local and cloud backups for years with (thankfully) few issues. When there is an issue I typically have to figure it out because their support is less than helpful. Pros It backs up our servers. It's relatively easy to configure and sends comprehensive reports and success/failure of the backup. Cons The support. I don't typically contact support, but when I do I have a real problem. Support will respond with a terse and often incorrect fix and immediately close my support ticket. When I reply back I get snarky and rude replies. Review Source DH Donald H. I have had very little need to interact with the software over the last several years. Pros I like the fact that BackupAssist scans for any malware prior to building the backup file. December 6, 2019 5.0 We've been using BackupAssist for 7 or 8 years now and have been very happy with it. We back up our servers to a NAS device in another one of our buildings. The backups always run as expected and we receive a detailed report via email after the backup is complete. We've never tried the bare metal restores but the file restore process is quick and easy. The software is also updated very regularly. Pros This software offers so much bang for the buck. It backs up our servers reliably and consistently and also runs scans for potential ransomware during the backups. Restoring data is easy when it's needed. Add-ons are available for Hyper-V, Exchange, SQL, and cloud backup. Cons While I like having the ransomware scans, they can significantly increase the time it takes to complete the backup. It can be turned off though. The recovery time was so fast, it didn't even interrupt my work day. I highly recommend it. Cons Nothing. The program was fast and efficient and did what it was supposed to. March 9, 2018 5.0 Ease of use, Security of backing up important items, compatible with most systems. Pros Pros: The name of the application, backup assist does exactly what it says it does. Its nice to have it for your computer as sometimes computers will crash you don't want to lose items, so this helps in keeping an ease of mind. Cons Cons, if the computer has older software, or you didn't set up properly not all information will always be backed up, though this a rare as the user as the option to adjust this.
