There's no additional surprise features, but I see that as a good thing. It sticks to what it does, and it does it well. Cons The UI being a little closer to that Google Analytics style would actually help users who are familiar with that interface. Cons I have been using the product for about 2 months now and don't have any major dislikes. There was one issue regarding number display affecting my account, but the founder responded to my support ticket and deployed the fix in a few hours. Amazing service. As a UI/UX Designer, it´s ideal because I can quickly see how users navigate the site and identify areas for improvement without being overwhelmed by cluttered dashboards. There is also very clear documentation which makes it very easy to get started. The support responds very quickly to questions, which is a great help. There is also a roadmap where feature requests can be expressed and rated by other users. Pros Simple Analytics is exactly what the name suggests: a straightforward, easy-to-use web analytics tool. It provides all the essential insights into our Web App user behavior without complexity. Cons I don't miss anything, for more in-depth analysis, there are other, more specialized tools available. I love the simple UI that is a welcome break from other analytics tools. Helps me to speed through my tasks without having to deep dive into docs. It's also really easy to develop locally using dev only scripts and overwriting the domain name. These features are very important to me in my day to day work. Cons One feature that is missing that would be useful to my job is more visitor data types that can be added to the dashboard. For example: the screen dimensions of visitors. A more pleasant experience for developers, website owners and visitors. Pros Refreshingly straightforward to implement, GDPR-compliant and informative, Simple Analytics allows website owners to obtain meaningful insight into their website usage while respecting their visitors' privacy. Not having to implement a cookie consent notice (for web analytics at least) is one less obstruction and also means that the analytics reflects a greater proportion of website visitors than with other cookie-based systems where data is only collected for consenting visitors. The statistics are also more readable than Google Analytics and easy to share with the website owner. The ability to include simpleanalytics from one's own domain to avoid ad-blocking is an added bonus. Cons Usage and implementation is very straightforward. To be clear, Simple Analytics cannot replace the full spectrum of more detailed analytics tools with integrated advertising conversions or purchasing funnels (though custom events can be tracked), but for the large numbers of users who just wish to gain general insight into the website usage, it's a perfect match. I will admit I still use GA as the more in-depth report making software, but Simple Analytics is the easier day-to-day check on the website. Also Customer support is incredibly fast! Pros It is really easy to take the data and show it to non-data minded people. It is quick to find the information that you are looking for. No need for cookies, meaning a better picture of the true amount of visitors to your website. Some AMAZING customer support, helpful and quick responses. Pros Solid website analytics software that's simple to use, ease to implement, and most of all it respects the users privacy. Doesn't use cookies so less likely you'll require a cookie consent banner. Compared to GA4 it is less resource intensive so faster page load times which helps as a signal for SEO. Cons The team are working on releasing new features so the only con is that I am impatient for these. They recently gave me a pleasant surprise I was not expecting when they notified me about an issue with the upcoming expiration of my SSL certificate. Pros Their approach and philosophy toward privacy. I was looking for a solution to replace Google Analytics on 6 different websites running WordPress and Ghost. I came across Simple Analytics thanks to Leave me Alone (a service to unsubscribe from unwanted emails) and I liked the interface and their philosophy. The integration was easy, they have an official plugin for WordPress, and for Ghost it is a few lines of code to add. The domain verification was easy and their starter plan is perfect for the business websites of my family and my personal ones. I like that they also have a browser plugin to exclude your own visits. The app, although simple is good for quickly checking your stats on the go. Cons The lack of funnel analysis. However, after looking at the documentation, I understood that I had to implement events so that I can create conversion rate funnels but I have not had time to do it yet. Review Source Iron B.
