Google Earth Pro has always been our go to software for mapping and site development views of projects over time. Pros it's satellite mapping is great for for use with our company to locate our projects and their conditions without visiting every site. Mapping is very often updated and also allows exporting of maps for use in other software we use. Cons I do wish it included elevation contours like some other map software have. I would also like to see dating of the data that is being viewed on the screen more easily for use on prints. My coworkers and I also use it almost daily at our office! Pros It is super easy to type in an address, and it also auto populates an address to make it quicker to find what you are looking for! It also shows the condition of roads, and it can help you to plan what routes you may take when traveling! I loved all of the different features like the fact that you can click on a street view or move from one place to the next and zooming in! They have amazing customer support and it is such good value for your money, I highly recommend! You get so much! Cons Honestly I loved every part about Google Earth Pro, and the only con I would say is that sometimes you are not able to access specific spots for street views, but that is not their fault so I guess it is all good! Google Earth deals with a huge portion of the spatial aspect of the construction by providing maps, or even by helping with certain urban planning problems right there on the app. Pros Google Earth is so user-friendly that even a novice can boot it up and start navigating on their own. Plus, you can use it as a flight simulator and you don't need a beefy computer to do so. Cons While the graphical requirement of the software is minimal, the storage needed to allow you to view all the places you want offline is huge. There's also no obvious button to download all the places you need beforehand and you need to zoom in on each of them to get your data. Overall, Google Earth Pro has improved my efficiency and accuracy in the work assigned to me by giving me a more complete and detailed view of the architectural projects, soil surveys, and construction projects I have been involved with. Pros Of the positive points to highlight of this system are its wide range of functions and updated geospatial data, since they provided me with a valuable resource for exhaustive analysis of the soils of a particular terrain, on the other hand for their high-resolution images they provided me with a detailed view of any location and the type of soil you were testing. Lastly, their option to perform virtual flights and time travel through historical 3D images is amazing, as having data over time for a particular terrain helps a lot. Cons The only problem I found with this system is that some images were outdated, therefore it can affect the quality and precision of the data in certain locations, however in the case of my work I had no problem. Cons The only thing I can think of here is that Google Earth Pro has a tendency to glitch / crash from time to time. Pros Of course, Google Earth Pro has all the functionalities that are available in Google Maps and Google Earth Web, however on this version we have some useful functions including various layers, multiple pinpoints, 3D effects, etc..One of the most exiting things of this app is that you can observe not only the Earth, but also other objects in the Space. Currently, you can choose among Earth, Sky, Moon, and Mars. Hopefully, new planets will be available in the future. Cons As for cons, I haven't experience any problems with Google Earth Pro. Not only that but also, I integrate it with sketchup and actually situate the building for site simulation. It is a great tool to present and every time I use it, clients get excited to see their building at the physical location and they get to hover over it from every aspect to get a good feel of the overall building. Cons When I situate the potential building on site, there is no way for me to get rid of current buildings and surroundings which sometimes come in conflict. Global coverage is excellent, with most locations of interest available in high resolution and often with additional layers of data available. Cons Some regions lack high quality and/or up-to-date imagery.
